ABSTRACT
A Fístula Buco-Sinusal é uma ocorrência patológica comum,caracterizada pela comunicação do seio maxilar com a cavidadebucal durante extrações dentárias de elementos superioresposteriores cujas raízes possuem íntima relação com o seio maxilar.Este estudo tem por objetivo esclarecer ao Cirurgião Dentistaquanto aos possíveis fatores etiológicos responsáveis portal complicação, identificar seus sinais clínicos e radiográficos,explicar a anatomia e o funcionamento do Corpo Adiposo Bucalbem como descrever a técnica cirúrgica adotada frente a essescasos. Para isso, os autores apresentam o caso clínico de uma pacientecom fístula buco-sinusal pós exodontia do primeiro molarsuperior direito permanente. O tratamento da fístula bucosinusalutilizando o tecido adiposo bucal é um método cirúrgicoseguro e eficaz, pois esse elemento apresenta um rico suprimentosanguíneo e um acesso fácil. Essa técnica cirúrgica apresentaum alto índice de sucesso, baixo risco de infecção, proporcionaum pós-operatório confortável para o paciente e não modificaa profundidade do sulco vestibular, evitando a necessidade deum segundo procedimento cirúrgico para a reabilitação protéticado paciente. Contudo, ela precisa ser realizada apropriadamentepara que tenha mínima incidência de falhas e isso requercerto cuidado por parte do profissional.
The Oro-antral Fistula is a common pathologic event, whichoccurs an opening or communication of the maxillary sinuswith the oral cavity through dental extractions of upper posteriorelements whose roots have close relationship with the maxillarysinus.This study aims to clarify the Surgeon Dentist about the possibleetiological factors responsible for Oro-antral Communication,to identify its clinical and radiographic signs, to explainthe Buccal Fat Pad?s anatomy and functioning and to describethe surgical technique adopted front of these cases. However, it needs to bedone properly so that you have minimum incidence of failures,and this requires some caution on the part of professional.
