ABSTRACT
INTRODUCCIÓN: El embarazo en adolescentes es tema de Salud Pública. El objetivo fue determinar la prevalencia en el Hospital de Especialidades José Carrasco Arteaga durante el año 2015. METODOLOGÍA: Se trata de un estudio descriptivo transversal de prevalencia y las características asociadas con la vía del parto. Se analizaron 125 historias clínicas de adolescentes registradas en el departamento Toco Quirúrgico del departamento de Ginecología y Obstetricia del Hospital de Especialidades José Carrasco Arteaga de Cuenca Ecuador, 2015. RESULTADOS: La prevalencia del embarazo en adolescentes es 5.8 %, el 40 % parto eutócico, el 50.4 % cesárea y el 9.6 % abortos. La adolescencia tardía representó el 65 %, cursan el nivel secundario 83 %, el 63 % continúan sus estudios. estado civil: solteras 76 %, residencia urbana 72 %. El 88 % curso su primer embarazo, el 80 % no utilizó métodos anticonceptivos, el 76 % inició su vida sexual a los 14 - 16 años, el 80 % tiene una pareja sexual, el 2.4 % presentaron enfermedades de transmisión sexual y el 100% se reportó serología negativa.CONCLUSIÓN: La prevalencia del embarazo en adolescentes en el Hospital de Especialidades José Carrasco Arteaga en el año 2015 fue del 5.8 %, es menor en comparación con las estadísticas locales, nacionales e internacionales.
INTRODUCTION: The teenage pregnancy is a public health issue. The aim was to determine the prevalence in the José Carrasco Specialties Hospital during the year 2015. METHODOLOGY: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study of prevalence and the characteristics associated with the way of delivery. We analyzed 125 clinical records of adolescents registered in the Toco-Surgical Department of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the José Carrasco Arteaga Specialties Hospital of Cuenca - Ecuador, year 2015. RESULTS: The prevalence of Teenage Pregnacy is 5.8 %, 40 % in eutocic delivery, 50.4 % in cesarean section and 9.6 % in abortions. Late adolescence 65 %, secondary school 83 %, and 63 % continued their studies. Marital status: single 76 %, urban residence 72 %. The 88 % percent had their first pregnancy, 80 % did not use contraception, 76 % started their sex life at 14 - 16 years old, 80 % had a sexual partner, 2.4 % had sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and 100 % reported negative serology. CONCLUSION: The prevalence of teenage pregnancy in the José Carrasco Arteaga Specialties Hospital in the year 2015 was is 5.8 %, lower than the local, national and international statistics.
