ABSTRACT
Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica exhaustiva sobre algunas enfermedades oculares que constituyen causas frecuentes de consulta oftalmológica en cualesquiera niveles de atención médica del Sistema Nacional de Salud, con vista a ofrecer información actualizada sobre los principales elementos causales y clínicos de estas afecciones, que pueda ser fácilmente consultada por estudiantes y personal de medicina en formación, así como también materializada en la práctica diaria mediante acciones concretas que permitan tratar adecuada y oportunamente a las personas con oftalmopatías.
An exhaustive literature review on some ocular illnesses that constitute frequent causes of ophthalmological visits to any level of medical care of the National Health System was carried out, with the aim of offering up-to-date information on the main causal and clinical elements of these disorders that can be easily examined by students and medicine staff under training, as well as materialized in the daily practice through concrete actions that allow to treat appropriately and apportunely people with ophthalmopathies.
