ABSTRACT
Se realizó un estudio de investigación en el municipio de Arroyo Naranjo, en la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas Julio Trigo López en La Habana. En este trabajo se utilizaron modelos de investigación cuantitativos y cualitativos, como expresión de la triangulación metodológica considerada, el sistema de métodos previstos empíricos y teóricos, fueron utilizados procedimientos estadísticos con la utilización de números absolutos y porcentajes para resumir la información, y tablas para su presentación. Se caracterizaron las actividades relacionadas con la función docente educativa, las cuales en múltiples ocasiones no eran conocidas ni ejecutadas como tareas sistemáticas por los especialistas en medicina en Medicina General Integral, además de constatarse la preparación inadecuada por insuficiencia de conocimientos y habilidades en relación con la función docente educativa que no permite que esta se desarrolle de forma sistemática. Los objetivos que perseguimos: analizar el comportamiento de la función docente educativa del especialista de Medicina General Integral en el Municipio Arroyo Naranjo, caracterizar las actividades que se relacionan con la función docente educativa del especialista de Medicina General Integral e identificar los factores que inciden en el cumplimento o no de la función docente educativa de este especialista
A research study was undertaken in Julio Trigo López Medical School in Arroyo Naranjo municipality, La Habana province. This paper used qualitative and quantitative research models as expression of the methodological triangulation, the system of empirical and theoretical methods, the statistical procedures with absolute numbers and percentages to summarize the information and tables to present it. The activities connected to the educational and teaching function, which were often either unknown or unfulfilled as systematic tasks by General Family Medicine specialists, were characterized. There was also confirmed the lack of adequate preparation, knowledge and skills to carry out the educational and teaching function in a systematic way. The objectives of our paper were to analyze how the educational and teaching function of the General Family Medicine specialist is performed in Arroyo Naranjo municipality, to characterize the activities related to this function and to identify the factors influencing the fulfilment or non-fulfilment of such a function by the MGI specialist
