Investigação sobre a ocorrência de leptospiroses em trabalhadores de diversas profissões no distrito sede do município de Sorocaba / An investigation on the occurrence of leptospirosis among workers of several occupations in the municipal disctrict of Sorocaba

Os autores efetuaram inquérito sorológico para o diagnóstico das leptospiroses entre 342 trabalhadores de diversas profissões do distrito sede do Município de Sorocaba, encontrando quatro indivíduos com soro-aglutininas para L. icterohaemorrhagiae, aos títulos de 1:3200; 1:200; 1:200 e 1:1600. Neste último caso houve coaglutinação com L. sentot a 1:400. Dois eram trabalhadores de esgoto e dois pertenciam aos serviços de água. Foram discriminados, em quadro, os dados clínicos e epidemiológicos dos quatro pacientes estudados (AU).

Serological tests for leptospirosís were conducted among 342 workers of severa! occupations in the Municipal District of Sorocaba. It was found that four of the subjects presented serum-aglutinin for L. icterohaemorrtuunae with titres of 1:3,200;1:200;1:200 e 1:1600. This last case showed co-aglutination for L., seniotto 1:400. Two of the subjects were workers of the sewerage systhem and two of the water supply systhem. Clinical and epidemiological data on the four pacíents were provided in a table. (AU)
