ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate and compare the predictive effects of two postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) prediction models in elderly patients with thoracoscopic partial pneumonectomy. Methods:The total of 227 elderly patients who underwent thoracoscopic partial pneumonectomy in Brain Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from October 2021 to January 2022 were collected. Apfel risk score and Koivuranta risk score were used to predict the risk of PONV in each patient. The area under the ROC curve was used to evaluate the discrimination ability of the two prediction models; Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness of fit test was used to evaluate the calibration of the two prediction models. Results:Among 227 patients, 74 had PONV, and the incidence of PONV was 32.6%. The area under the ROC curve of Apfel and Koivuranta risk scores in the risk prediction of PONV in elderly patients with thoracoscopic partial pneumonectomy were 0.640 and 0.683 respectively. There was no significant difference between the two ( Z=1.54, P>0.05). The Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness of fit test showed that the accuracy of the two models in predicting PONV risk in elderly patients with thoracoscopic partial pneumonectomy was better ( P>0.05). Conclusions:The difference between the two models in PONV risk prediction in elderly patients with thoracoscopic partial pneumonectomy is general, Koivuranta model is more suitable for predicting PONV in elderly patients with thoracoscopic partial pneumonectomy, but its applicability is still insufficient.

ABSTRACT

The paper describes the organization framework, representation pattern, relation model and expression rule of SNOMED CT based on concept, and then explores the application of SNOMED CT in the expression of medical data and semantic retrieval. Thus,it can provide reference for the research and development of the terminology standard of clinical diagnosis and treatment, and promote the study of processing, mining and analysis of clinical medical data in China.

ABSTRACT

The gene polymorphisms of human being will cause abnormality in the expression of corresponding gene, which is closely related to the physiological function and disease.Cytochrome P450,cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase are vital enzymes that mediated the oxidative metabolism process for exogenous chemicals, and play important roles in activating the indirect carcinogens and metabolizing clinical drug;the gene polymorphisms of these enzymes can change the expression and activity of enzymes, affect the metabolic transformation of carcinogens, and then give rise to difference in the susceptibility to neoplasms.Studying the relationship between the gene polymorphisms of oxidative metabolism enzyme for endogenous and exogenous chemicals and the susceptibility to neoplasms can provide scientific basis for probing into the genetic markers and the pathogenesis of neoplasms.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To carry out the service in the oncology by medical volunteers, provide more comprehen-sive and intimate quality nursing services guidance with nursing staff together for cancer patients. Methods:Making the medical volunteers service application system, service process and service standards. According to the patients to nursing job satisfaction questionaire by a third party, through telephone follow-up forms, carry out the satisfac-tion survey. Combined with their own advantages of TCM medical volunteers, to carry out the diet instruction, psy-chological counseling, massage, warm room service, telephone return services such as ward, score of life quality of tumor patients on admission and after the volunteer service. Results:Ward accompanying rate dropping, increasing patient satisfaction with nursing service, improving the degree of identification of volunteer service, tumor patients and improving the quality of life, and is conducive to building a perfect medical students social practice platform. Conclusion:Volunteer services improve the quality of nursing service, cultivating a correct outlook on life, values and morality of medical volunteers, strengthening medical volunteer service consciousness, achieving win-win for patients, departments, volunteers.

ABSTRACT

Purpose To investigate the research trends and focus in low-dose CT study at home and abroad in recent ten years according to literature distribution and growth law. Materials and Methods The papers on low-dose CT research published at home and abroad from 2003 to 2012 which were abstracted in Web of Science database were taken as study objects. Data filtering was performed by using the Thomson Data Analyzer (TDA) Version 2.1 analysis software for the trend of cooperation, institutional cooperation trends, national distribution of the papers trend, high-citations, subject distribution, hot topics and other aspects to do bibliometric analysis. Results A total number of 6725 papers on low-dose CT from 2003-2012 were abstracted by Web of Science. The average number of authors in single papers was 6.05 (cooperation rate, 95.7%), and the average number of institutions in single papers was 2.56 (cooperation rate, 73.9%), which both showed an increasing trend year by year. 318 Chinese papers were published, and the published literatures in 2012 were ranked third in the world. Papers on low-dose CT, which were published in Medical Physics, European Journal of Radiology and the American Journal of Roentgenology, had rapid growth. The research focus of low-dose CT study involved in lung cancer screening, coronary angiography, pulmonary embolism examination, CT radiation dose and so on. Conclusion CT low-dose studies involve in collaboration between multi-author, multi-institutional and multi-disciplinary. The trends and focus of low-dose CT study in China keep pace with the world, and the quality and quantity of paper need to be further improved.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the epidemic situation on schistosomiasis in five years after reaching the criteria of transmission control in 1995 in Dali City. . Methods. Epidemiological data of schistosomiasis during 1995-2000 were collected and analyzed. . Results . Stool positive rate in the population was increasing yearly, new cases of infection including cases under 14 years old were detected each year. Acute infection occurred during 1996-1998 consecutively. Stool positive rate in cattle was unstable. Snail-ridden area increased significantly in 1996 and spots with infected snails stayed at a higher level during 1997-2000. . Conclusion . Schistosomiasis in Dali city has been re-emerging though it was once deemed under transmission control. Possible reasons include a low drug-taking rate though distributed, frequent movement of cattle population, and less activity on snail control.
