ABSTRACT
Hoy en día la información es el insumo básico para toda actividad de gestión: registrar la ocurrencia de eventos, el tratamiento, evolución y desenlace del suceso inicial en forma organizada y bajo esquemas que permitan la gestión oportuna de la información debe ser priorizada, actualmente, En Venezuela, la información oficial sobre cáncer encuentra barreras difíciles de superar dado que la realidad no puede ser medida y estudiada debido principalmente a que la normativa vigente en salud del Estado Venezolano no prioriza estos datos dentro de los estándares de vigilancia de enfermedades de notificación obligatoria (ENO); por esta razón, se elaboró una Propuesta de Registro Único Epidemiológico Oncológico con visión nacional que permita conocer esta realidad, A través del diagnóstico de la situación actual, el análisis y selección de las herramientas tecnológicas para el posterior diseño de la propuesta y la evaluación de la posible factibilidad de la misma. Se consideró un proyecto de tipo factible ; que permitió diseñar el Sistema Epidemiológico de Registro Oncológico, divido en un registro físico y una virtual que permite la integración de la base de datos inter-institucional cuya factibilidad operativa, técnica y financiera es totalmente viable, con una inversión directamente proporcional a la relevancia del mismo(AU)
