ABSTRACT

En el siglo XXI el concepto de medicina familiar ha entrado en auge dado que se resume en una medicina completa e integral desde el punto de vista humanístico, social y comunitario. No solo se enfoca en la salud curativa sino también en la prevención y en las estrategias públicas para lograr el fin de preservar y mantener la salud de los seres humanos. El modelo de la atención centrada en el paciente es la unidad del ser vivo en conjunto con su virtud humanística, social, anatómica y fisiológica, sobrellevando las patologías agudas o crónicas que lo acompañan en su vida, para lograr su bienestar o su alivio de común acuerdo entre el profesional de la salud y la persona o paciente según su naturaleza.


In the Twenty-First Century, the concept of family medicine has become more popular as it is summarized in a complete and integrative medicine from a humanistic, social and community point of view. It focuses not only on curative health but also on prevention and public strategies to achieve the goal of preserving and maintaining human health. The model of patient-centered care is the unity of the living being together with its humanistic, social, anatomical and physiological virtue, coping with the acute or chronic pathologies that accompany it in its life, in order to achieve its well-being or its relief by common agreement between the healthcare professional and the person or patient according to its nature.
