ABSTRACT

Bennett's fractures are always serious injuries to the hand. The authors have reviewed 15 cases treated by Iselin's pinning technique with a mean range follow-up of 06 years. 13 were good or satisfactory results according to Vardon's Seale. The Iselin's technique is recommended as the routine technique for Bennett's fractures

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to evaluate on Lemaire's extra-articular procedure applied to chronic rupture of the A.C.L. 40 patients, 21 to 42 years old [average 26.8 years], underwent chronic rupture of the A.C.L. Lemaire extra-articular procedure for. The average follow-up was 10.5 years [range 7 to 15]. All patients were evaluated with scoring systems [Avicenne military hospital [HMA] and IKDC]. Roentgenograms of both knees on unilateral weight-bearing and functional evaluation with the Stryker knee laxity tester. No statistical evaluation was used. 30 patients had a satisfactory result in both system HMA and IKDC. The pivot-shift test was negative in 95 percent. 22 patients resumed there first level 35%. Functional results were temporalily but do not confirm the reliability of this procedure. Degenerative changes of the joint underprim the prognosis. Lemaire's extra-articular procedure alone for chronic rupture of the A.C.L. is not recommended

ABSTRACT

Authors analyze cases of six patients revealing necrotic-enterocolitis and suggest a physiopathologic approach. The vascularisation richness of the digestive track in Alfa receptors explains that the latter is rapidly excluded fro, oxygen contribution resulting in digestive necrosis. It's the case of the majority of patients where a circulatory factor is always found. This circulatory factor can pass unnoticed and, thus, deteriorating intestinal barrier and leading to a bacterian translocation which is the cause of a multiple organ failure. The affected digestive tube is a part of third syndrome. Therefore, we have to treat this digestive tube with the same consideration as for the so-called noble organs at the time of taking responsibility for circulatory deficiencies

ABSTRACT

Has many advantages: it is not expensive, non pollutant and it allows humidification of gas given to the patient. The advance of monitoring of gas concentration in the system, especially the supervision of the oxygen inspirated fraction have allowed to avoid occurring of hypoxia and hypercapnia which are the main complications resulting from this type of anesthesia. Trough the study of our first hundred closed system anesthesia cases, and based on a literature review, the intensive care unit [Service de Reanimation Chirugicale] of the Avicenne Hospital aims to settle the aspects related to this kind of anesthesia

ABSTRACT

100 cases of patients having undergone surgical operations due to malignant [65%] or mild [35%] oesophageal pathology and having benefited from resection replacement of the oesophageous have been analyzed in order to determine factors of mortality and surgical morbidity. It's a question of patients often suffering from severe denutrition [47%]. Surgical morbidity is dominated by respiratory and anastomotic complications [53%]. The global mortality is of 14%. The cause of death are respiratory in 1/3 of cases and anastomotic in another 1/3 Age, cancerous pathology, denutrition, thoracic and cervical approach seem to be factors of gravity. Morbidity is compressible in a framework of a by strategy of taking responsibility for patients by applying a strict selection of surgery-bound patients, a strict selection of surgery, a nutritional preoperative respiratory preparation and energetic postoperative follow up in intensive care unit
