ABSTRACT
Humphrey field analyzer [programs central 30-2 and nasal step] was used to test a group of 50 glaucomatous eyes, and another group of 50 normal eyes. Findings were classified as glaucoma specific, or non- specific, or no changes in either the central fields. Glaucoma specific changes were present in the central field of 19 cases, compared with 17 cases in which such changes were present in the peripheral field. Five cases had peripheral affection only, while 7 had only central changes. These findings indicated that both central and peripheral changes were of about equal importance for early diagnosis of glaucoma
