ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effects of feedback teaching based on dynamic cases on teaching quality of practice nurses in the department of neurosurgery. Methods:A total of 69 practice nurses from the Department of Neurosurgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were enrolled as the research subjects between January 2019 and August 2020, of which 33 practice nurses between January and October 2019 were selected as the control group and the other 36 practice nurses between November 2019 and August 2020 were selected as the observation group. The control group used routine teaching, while the observation group adopted feedback teaching based on dynamic cases. The assessment scores, practice effect, nursing job satisfaction, and the incidence of nursing errors after teaching were compared between the two groups. SPSS 24.0 was used for Chi-square test and t-test. Results:After teaching, the scores of each assessment (teaching rounds, health education, specialist nursing operations, morning questions, basic operations, and theoretical assessment) in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the scores of disease change recognition ability, independent work ability, communication ability and teamwork ability were significantly higher than those in the control group ( P<0.05). After 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks and 4 weeks of teaching, the teaching satisfaction in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group ( P<0.05). The total incidence of nursing errors in the observation group 2.78%(1/36) was significantly lower than that in the control group 27.27(9/33)( P<0.05). Conclusion:Feedback teaching based on dynamic cases can effectively improve the teaching quality of practice nurses in the department of neurosurgery, improve nursing job satisfaction, and reduce the risk of nursing errors.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze the prevalence of goiter among children aged 8 to 10 years old in Beijing and study the influencing factors of goiter in children. Methods:In 16 districts of Beijing, each district was divided into 5 sampling districts according to east, west, south, north and middle locations in 2018. One town/street was selected from each sampling district, one primary school was selected from each town/street, and 40 non-boarding students aged 8 to 10 years old were selected from each primary school. The size of thyroid was measured by B-ultrasound method, the volume of thyroid was calculated and whether goiter or not was determined according to the "Diagnostic Criteria for Endemic Goiter". Random urine samples were collected, urinary iodine was detected by arsenic-cerium catalytic spectrophotometry. Height and weight were measured, body mass index (BMI) was calculated, and the correlation of thyroid volume with height and weight was analyzed. Results:A total of 3 268 children were surveyed, in which 154 children with goiter; the goiter rate was 4.7%. The goiter rate in girls [5.7% (93/1 641)] was higher than that in boys [3.7% (61/1 627), χ 2 = 6.694, P < 0.05]. The goiter rates of children aged 8, 9 and 10 years old were 4.3% (15/346), 5.5% (85/1 534) and 3.9% (54/1 388), respectively, there was no significant difference between the ages (χ 2 = 4.544, P > 0.05). The median of urinary iodine in children was 175.3 μg/L, which was in an iodine appropriate level. The thyroid volumes of children aged 8, 9 and 10 years old were positively correlated with height and weight ( r = 0.143, 0.225, 0.323, 0.338, 0.321, 0.346, P < 0.01). Conclusion:The goiter rate of children in Beijing is high, children's thyroid volume is greatly affected by height and weight, and it is recommended to consider the influence of height and weight when study the diagnostic criteria of children's goiter.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the correlation and role of E2F3 gene,miR-17-5p and miR-20a in the cell lines of transitional cell carcinoma of bladder. Methods The plasmids of pcDNA3.1-HA-E2F3 and pAAV-siRNA-E2F3 were used to overexpress and knockdown E2F3.The mimics of miR-17-5p,miR-20a and their anti-miRNA oligonucleotides were used to overexpress and screen miR-17-5p and miR-20a.The expression levels of E2F3 gene,miR-17-5p and miR-20a were detected by quantitative real-time PCR,and E2F3 protein were detected by Western blot. Results When E2F3 was overexpressed,the 2- △△Ct of miR-17-5p and miR-20a were 2.26 ± 0.30 and 4.04 ± 0.51,it was statistically significant to compared with control (P < 0.05) ; when E2F3 was knockdown,the 2 △△Ct of miR-17-5p and miR-20a were 0.49 ± 0.02and 0.65 ± 0.04 (P < 0.05) ; when miR-17-5p and miR-20a were overexpressed simultaneously,the level of E2F3 mRNA was significantly decreased,the average E2F3 protein gray scale was 55.31 ± 7.89,the control was 103.67 ± 13.61 (P < 0.05 ) ; when miR-17-5p and miR-20a were knockdown simultaneously,the E2F3 mRNA was significantly increased,the E2F3 protein gray scale was 295.68 ± 19.25,the control was 103.67 ± 13.61 ( P < 0.05 ). Conclusions miR-17-5p and miR-20a could be up-regulated by E2F3 gene,and the E2F3 gene could be down-regulated by miR-17-5p and miR-20a.The regulatory feedback loop of E2F3 gene,miR-17-5p and miR-20a exists in transitional cell carcinoma of bladder. The loop maybe plays a key role in the development of bladder cancer.
