ABSTRACT

Objective To learn the latest progress in the research of ω-3 unsaturated fatty acids and provide references for the related investigator through visualized analysis of the research of ω-3 unsaturated fatty acids published in our country. Methods China Biology Medicine disc was searched by computer from the beginning until December 31,2017.Bibliographic Item Co-occurrence Mining System (BICOMS) was used to extract and summarize the data of age, author, organization, province and key words and to produce a co-occurrence matrix.NetDraw of Ucinet 6.0 was employed to draw the social network diagram of the author, organization, province and key words. And cluster analysis of the key words was performed by gCLUTO 2.0.Results A total of 1 165 studies involviug 30 provinces and cities,854 research units,3 789 authors and 1 016 significative key words were included. The cooperation of author, organization and province needed to be further strengthened. The study focused on 3 aspects:the effects of unsaturated fatty acids on apoptosis/lipid in mice/rats with related genes of diabetes/cardiovascular disease/coronary artery disease;meta-analysis of immunonutrition to improve tumor/inflammation/sepsis;effect of fish oil fat emulsion on interleukin/C reactive protein in pneumonia/lung injury. Conclusions The research of ω-3 unsaturated fatty acids develops rapidly in China, but it is mainly concentrated in a few centers of cooperation agencies. There is little cooperation among different provinces, cities, areas, and organizations and the research topics needs to be further expanded.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To extract, isolate the triterpenes from the leaves of Olea europaea, then conduct structural identifica-tion,and provide reference for development and application of the leaves of O. europaea. METHODS:Silica gel column and other methods were used for elution, column chromatography and recrystallization of the ethyl acetate part of ethanol extracts from the leaves of Olea europaea. The structures of separated compounds were identified by nuclear magnetic resonance. RESULTS:6 com-pounds were isolated from ethyl acetate part of the leaves of O. europaea, identified as β-amyrin,erythrodiol,2α,3β-dihydrox-yl-12-ursen-28-acid (compound 3),oleanolic acid, camaldulenic acid (compound 5),3α-maslinic acid. Compound 3 and com-pound 5 were isolated from the leaves of O. europaea for the first time. CONCLUSIONS:The study has provided test basis for the further development and reasonable application of the leaves of O. europaea.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the inhibitory effect of astragalus polysaccharide(APS)on the proliferation of human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells. METHODS:After the cells were cultured with 0(blank control),25,50 and 100 mg/ml APS for 6,12 and 24 h,MTT method was used to determine cell viability and calculate inhibition rate. Following cell cultured with 0 (blank control),25,50 and 100 mg/ml APS for 24 h,Hoechst 33258 fluorescent staining was performed, and then cell nucleus morphology was observed under the fluorescence microscope;flow cytometer was used to detect the distribution of cell cycles and apoptosis;western blot was employed to determine the expression of extracellular regulated protein kinases (ERK) 1/2 protein in cells. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was conducted to determine the contents of interleukin 2 (IL-2),IL-6 and IL-12 in the cells. RESULTS:Compared to the blank control, those cultured with 100 mg/ml APS for 6 h,50 and 100 mg/ml APS for 12 h and 25,50 and 100 mg/ml APS for 24 h demonstrated higher inhibition rate. After the cells were cultured with 50 and 100 mg/ml APS for 24 h,those in G0/G1 phase increased and those in G2/M and S phases decreased, and the contents of IL-2 and IL-6 increased. After cells were cultured with 25,50 and 100 mg/ml APS for 24 h,the apoptosis rate was higher, densely hyperchromat-ic fragments in cell nuclei and apoptotic bodies appeared, the phosphorylation level of ERK1/2 protein in the cells was lower, and the content of IL-12 was higher. There was statistically significance (P<0.01 or P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:APS can inhibit the proliferation of SH-SY5Y cells by arresting cell cycle and inducing cell apoptosis through a mechanism which may be correlated to the decrease in the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and increase in cytokine.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To optimize base material compositions and preparation technology for compound ciprofloxacin gel.METHODS:4factors,ciprofloxacin,carbomer-940,glycerine,triethanolamine(in formula dosages)were selected as variable factors, the stability of the preparation was taken as the index for investigation and table L 9 (3 4 )was used to conduct the orthogonal experiment.RESULTS:The optimum base material composition and technology were the following,ciprofloxacin0.3%,carbomer-9401%,glycerine7.5%,triethanolamine2%.CONCLUSION:The compound ciprofloxacin gel prepared based on the optimized technology is in conformity with the specification stated in Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2000).

ABSTRACT

AIM: To establish a method for the simultaneous determination of hesperidin and baicalin in Qingqi Huatan Pill (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Radix Scutellariae, etc.). METHODS: RP-HPLC was adopted with a mobile phase of acetonitrile-water-1% phosphoric acid (20∶80∶0.2), flow rate of 0.8 mL?min -1. The detection wavelength was at 280 nm. RESULTS:The linear range of hesperidin was 0.04 ?g-0.37 ?g, the average recovery was 97.5% and RSD was 1.0%. The linear range of baicalin was 0.13 ?g-1.19 ?g. The average recovery was 97.5%and RSD was 1.2%, respectively. CONCLUSION: This method is simple, practical, accurate and suitable for the quality control of Qingqi Huatan Pill.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To prepare nifedipine sustained-release hydrogels and to study their drug release in vitro.METHODS:Nifedipine sustained-release hydrogels were prepared by complex coacervation. An orthogonal experiment was performed with chitosan, concentration of sodium alginate, mixing speed and the volume ratio of chitosan solution to sodium alginate solution as factors.Meanwhile, the dissolution rate of the prepared hydrogels was determined by basket-rotating method, and pH-sensitivity of the released drug in different pH medium was investigated.RESULTS:The optimal technical condition was as follows:the concentration of chitosan was 0.4% and that of sodium alginate was 1.5%;the mixing speed was 160 r?min-1;the volume ratio of chitosan solution to sodium alginate solution was 6:1.The dissolution rate of sustained-release hydrogels containing nifedipine was 13.43% in simulated gastric fluid(pH 1.5) at 4 hours, which stood at 52.30% at 4 hours and 81.72% at 12 hours in simulated intestinal fluid(pH 6.8).CONCLUSION:The sustained-release hydrogels of nifedipine showed remarkable sustained-release properties and strong pH sensibility in vitro.
