ABSTRACT

Based on the teaching concept of constructivism, this study aims to promote independent inquiry-based learning and clinical thinking among students and establish the guiding ideology of "full participation, process control, in-depth discussion, and expansion of thinking". A blending learning model was adopted with offline inquiry-based group learning and in-class defense and comment, as well as online teacher-student interaction and supervision to promote learning. Case-problem-based learning (CPBL) of pathophysiology was carried out among the medical students in the class of 2017, and process management was strengthened to effectively manage the two key links of data retrieval and group discussion. The analysis of 176 teaching evaluations collected at the end of the semester show that in terms of the overall evaluation of CPBL teaching, 162 students (92.05%) had high evaluation on teaching objectives, organization, cases, and personal gains and held a very or relatively favorable attitude. There were more negative feedbacks on "appropriate time allocation"; 21 students (11.93%) held a relatively or very disapproving attitude, and 149 students (84.66%) "felt very tired". In terms of teaching effect evaluation, 150 students (85.23%) strongly or relatively agreed that CPBL teaching may help to understand professional knowledge, stimulate learning enthusiasm and initiative, improve problem solving ability, emphasize clinical practice to cultivate clinical thinking, supervise and promote learning, and enhance team cooperation and teacher-student communication. In terms of the evaluation of teachers, 167 students (94.89%) thought that teachers were rigorous, responsible, and enthusiastic in teaching, attached importance to process management, and did well in effective guidance and thinking inspiration (strongly or relatively agree). The above results suggest that the CPBL teaching reform of pathophysiology based on process management can effectively promote in-depth inquiry-based independent learning and the cultivation of clinical thinking and improve teaching effectiveness, but further improvement is needed for teaching arrangement and time allocation.

ABSTRACT

This article describes softwares and their functions in each phase of 3D printing process in medical device production, and gives the advices on supervision. For software with specific medical purposes, the registration of the software should be carried out. The softwares used in the printing process need to be verified according to the corresponding risk.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish the quality standard for Fufang Xiongdan Yinchen Granule. Methods TLC was employed to identify Pulvis ellis urs, Capillary Wormwood Herbin, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma and Glycyrrhizae Radix, and HPLC was used to determine the content of sodium tauroursodeoxycholic acid in Fufang Xiongdan Yinchen Granule. Kromail 100-5 C18 column (4.6 mm× 250 mm, 5 μm) in an oven at 25 ℃ was need, with a mobile phase consisting of methanol-0.03 mol/L sodium dihydrogen phosphate solution (60∶40, pH=4.4) and UV detector at 210 nm, the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. Results Pulvis ellis urs, Capillary Wormwood Herbin, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma and Glycyrrhizae Radix can be detected by TLC. The linearity of sodium tauroursodeoxycholic acid was obtained in the range of 0.182 1-1.821 mg (r=0.999 98). The average recovery was 100.39%, and RSD was 1.70% (n=6). Conclusion The method is simple, accurate, specific, and can control the quality of Fufang Xiongdan Yinchen Granule effectively.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo study the effects of total alkaloids of Rubus alceaefolius (RAP) on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) rats and explore its possible mechanisms.

METHODSixty SD rats were randomly divided into six groups: control group, model group, compound methionine and choline bitartrate tablets (CMCB)group and three RAP groups treated respectively with low, middle and high dose of RAP. The NAFLD model was induced by feeding fat-rich food. NAFLD rats were administrated with 0.35 g x kg(-1) CMCB and 0.36, 0.72, 1.44 g x kg(-1) RAP for 4 weeks respectively. The weight index of liver was measured. Hepatic histolog ical changes were observed. The concentration in serum of aspartate amino transferase (AST), alanine amino tranferase (ALT), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) were determined. The mRNA expressions of SOD, MDA, TNF-alpha and IL-6 in hepatic tissue were detected.

RESULTCompared with the model group, degree of steatosis of hepatic lobule was improved, the weight index of liver was decreased, serum levels of ALT, AST, TNF-alpha and IL-6 were significantly lower in the high and middle dose RAP group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). The levels of SOD and MDA in hepatic tissue were lower in the high dose RAP group (P < 0.05). The mRNA expressions of TNF-alpha and IL-6 in hepatic tissue were decreased (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONRAP can protect liver in experimental NAFLD, and its possible mechanisms may be concerned with clearing the oxygen free radical, reducing the product of lipid peroxidation, inhibiting the release of inflammatory cytokines and reducing nflammatory response.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To treat the burned wounds with Kangmeifu burns ointment and observe the expression levels of EGF,TNF-? and TGF-?1 in the process of wound healing. Methods:Immunohistochemistry and image analysis methods were conducted to examine the expressions of EGF,TNF-? and TGF-?1 in both groups at 3,5,7,9 and 14 days after scalding.Results:①Expression of EGF:EGF began to express from the 1stday.It expressed significantly at the 5th day, maintained a higher level at the 7th and 14th days.In the blank control side, the peak expression occurred at the 7th day.② Expression of TNF-?:TNF-? had two peaks respectively in both sides. The peaks in the blank control side ocurred at the 3th and 9th days respectively, and the peaks in the Kangmeifu burns ointment treated side ocurred at the 3th and 7th days, and the second peak was obviously earlier than that in the blank control side.③Expression of TGF-?1 :TGF-?1 began to express from the 1stday.It expressed significantly at the 5th day,and reduced at the 9th day.In the blank control side, the peak expression occurred at the 7th day.In the blank control side, there was almost no TGF-?1 expression at the lst day.It expressed weakly at the 3th day.The peak expression occurred at the 7th day. Conclusion:Kangmeifu burns ointment can accelerate the process of wound tissue healing through enhancing EGF,TGF-?1 expression at the beginning and inhibiting TNF-? overexpression later.
