ABSTRACT
Trata-se de estudo que teve como objetivo conhecer a produção científica sobre o presenteísmo na enfermagem através de revisão bibliográfica integrativa por meio de pesquisa realizada nas bases de dados MEDLINE, LILACS, BEDENF e Banco de Teses e Dissertações do Portal Capes, no período de março de 2010 a janeiro de 2011. Foram identificados sete artigos publicados entre 2000 e 2010, sendo um na Suécia, quatro nos Estados Unidos, um na Costa Rica e um no Chile. Descrevem a enfermagem como uma profissão com alto índice de presenteísmo, relacionando-o com a má qualidade de saúde dos trabalhadores. Destacam as consequências negativas do mesmo para a instituição, trabalhadores e pacientes. Até o momento, não temos estudos nacionais que investigam o presenteísmo na enfermagem e os estudos internacionais com esta abordagem são recentes, ainda escassos, porém extremamente relevantes, trazendo importantes resultados e reflexões sobre os riscos e as consequências desta ocorrência para o trabalhador, equipe e pacientes.
The aim of this study is to get to know the scientific production on Presence in Nursing. The method used consists of an integrated bibliographic review through the research on the data basis MEDLINE, LILACS, BEDENF and in the branch of Thesis and Dissertations from CAPES site. The research was done from March 2010 to January 2011. From this research, there were identified seven papers published within this period: one in Switzerland, four in the United States of America, one in Costa Rica and one in Chile. These papers describe Nursing to be an occupation with high level of Presence and they also focus on the workers? low level concerning health quality, pointing out its negative consequences to the institution, the pacients and the workers themselves. Up to the moment, there are not local and national papers which investigate Presence in Nursing. On the other hand, the international studies on this topic are quite recent and rare. However, they are very relevant on their results and theoretical basis as to stimulate the necessary research on Presence?s risks and consequences to the worker, the group and the patients.
