ABSTRACT
O trabalho enfatiza as vantagens do tratamento combinado de psicoterapia psicanalítica e/ou psicanálise com a psicofarmacoterapia. É apresentado e discutido o caso clínico proposto pelos editores. Busca-se uma revisão exaustiva e crítica dos tratamentos combinados. O valor maior do trabalho é ressaltar que a prática da psicoterapia psicanalítica e/ou psicanálise em associação com a psicofarmacoterapia tem se tornado um procedimento rotineiro diferentemente do que ocorria nos primeiros tempos da psicanálise e da psicoterapia psicanalítica
The work emphasizes the advantages of the treatment putting together psychoanalytical psychotherapy and/or psychoanalysis with psychopharmacotherapy. The clinical case proposed by the editors is presented and discussed. An exhausting and critical revision of the combined treatments is done. The work points out that the practice of psychoanalytical psychotherapy and/or psychoanalysis in association with psychopharmacotherapy has become a regular procedure differently from what happened in the beginning of psychoanalysis and psychoanalytical psychotherapy
