ABSTRACT
The close relation between the nose and paranasal sinuses to the orbit has both clinical and surgical importance. From the clinical point of view, proptosis is not an uncommon presentation of nasal and paranasal sinuses disorders. From the surgical point of view, nasal and paranasal surgery may be needed to treat a primarily nasal or paranasal sinuses disorder or be needed to decompress the orbit affected by other pathologies. Rarely, nasal surgery itself may be complicoted by protosis. Review of some important nasal and paranasal sinuses disorders manifested primarily by proptosis and treated at Ear, Nose and Throat department, Ain-Shams University during the last five years, is presented in this paper. Their etiology, clinical presentation, investigations and management are clearly discussed
