ABSTRACT

Karnashula (otalgia) is described under Karnaroga. Karna is the seat of Shravanendriya, made by Panchamahabhuta predominantly Akash mahabhuta and it is concern for Shabda. Karnashool is mentioned as the separate disease entity but and also one of the features of ear diseases. Mature Paribhadra leaves which is mentioned in Bhavaprakash used for Karna purana as a Swarasa form. Irimedadi Taila which is also mentioned in Bhavaprakash used for Gandusha as it has Krimihara and Vranaropana property. This study is a contributing to the clinical usefulness of Paribhadra patra swarasa Karnapurana in Karnasula with or without Irimedadi taila gandusham. (gargle) Methodology: In this comparative study Paribhadra patra swarasa karnapurana (ear drop) in Karnasula with or without Irimedadi taila gandusham. 40 patients of Otalgia (Karnashula) were randomly selected and divided to two groups of 20 patients each. Group A was treated with the ear 6 drops of Paribhadra Patra Swarasa Karnapurana and Group B was treated with ear drops Paribhadra patra swarasa karnapurana in Karnasula with Irimedadi Taila Gandusham. Observations: It was observed in the present study that Group A showed better results in reducing the symptoms of Karnasula when pain (Atiruka) is main symptoms. Re-occurrence of symptoms was merely less in Group A patients compared to Group B patients. Whereas in Group B, Karnasula along with Mukha roga, Kantha roga etc are best responded with Karnapurana along with Irimedadi Taila Ganduham. Conclusion: Ayurvedic medicines are potent enough to manage and reduced recurrence of acute otalgia. The selection of medicine and therapy like Karnapurana and Gandusha and depend on sign and symptoms of the patients. Paribhadra Patra Swarasa and Irimedadi taila both are effective to manage Karnasula. Karnapurana alone is sufficient to manage Karnasula but when it is associated with Mukahroga, Kantharoga then Karnapurana along with Gandusham are choice of treatment.

ABSTRACT

Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) causes problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, occupational field or financial affairs. Narcissistic personality disorder individual generally unhappy and disappointed. They believe they deserve admiration. According to Acharya Charak, Unnmad, is the Manasvyadhi is which understood as the disturbed condition of the Manas (mind), Buddhi (understanding), Samjna (consciousness), Gynana (perception), Smriti (memory), Bhakti (inclination), Sheela (character), Chesta (behaviour), and Achara (conduct). As a result, Citta gets disturbed and in turn causes impairment of Budhhi. Due to this, the individual person feels different sign and symptoms like loss of confidence, irrelevant talk, biased willing and thinking, deprived memory, decision and responsiveness. The signs and symptoms of Asura Graha Unmada (AG) such as Jihma Drishtim, Dushtaatmaanaam, Krodhanam, Atruptam, Sasweda Gaatram, Deva, Braahmana, Guru Dveshinam, etc show similarity with deceitfulness, exploitation, antisocial, aggressiveness, impulsivity, negative emotionality, grandiosity, dysphoria, alcohol abuse, and physical violence features commonly found in various personality disorders such as Anti-Social Personality Disorder (ASPD) , Bipolar Disorder (BD), and NPD and others personality disorder or comorbid condition among them. Manasa Vyadhi, Graha Rogas are less focused topic in Ayurveda. The aim of this article to explain Asura Graha Unmada and its correlation with contemporary view. After proper review it is concluded that the signs and symptoms of Asura Graha (AG) Unmada such as Jihma Drishtim, Dushtaatmaanaam, Krodhanam, Atruptam, Sasweda Gaatram, Deva, Braahmana, Guru Dveshinam, etc shows similarity with various personality disorders.

Ayurveda emphasize prevention over cure. A balanced diet with proper dietetic rule can help avoid a lot of common health concerns. The source of life for all living beings is food, growth, strength, intelligence, satisfaction, all are established in food. Food is significant as a nutritional source, as well as having therapeutic value, and it plays an important part in regaining strength lost due to the disease's detrimental effects throughout the post-treatment phase and also excess exercise, or addiction too. Ayurveda classic haphazardly explain nutritional issues. Each and every disease is due to faulty Ahara and Vihara. Ahara vidhi is equally important to get optimum benefits from consumed food. Childhood malnutrition is thought to be the cause of 35% of all fatalities in children under the age of five, as well as 21% of total worldwide disability-adjusted life years lost in children. Karshya not only concerns with weight loss, but also compares with malnutrition-like disorders. In Ayurveda, Karshya is a disease as well as cause, prodromal symptoms, feature of different diseases and bad prognostic sign. Karsha is also a physiological in Vataja prakriti individual. This illness is linked to growth and development issues in children and adolescence group. In adults, malnutrition results in weakness, fatigue, low immune response, protein, vitamin, minerals, fats deficiencies, and more prone to degenerative diseases. The aim of this review article is highlighted the Ayurvedic perspective on Karsha in term of malnutrition. All material for this article is collected from classical Ayurvedic texts. Understanding the cause and pathophysiology and accurate treatment as per Ayurved classics all are discussed here elaborately

ABSTRACT

Amlapitta is one of the leading problems of new era due to irregular and improper diet, dietetics and stressful life style. It is a very common disorder of Annavahasrotasa caused by Vidagdha Pitta with features like, Abipaka (indigestion), Klama (fatigue), Utklesha (nausea), Tikta-Amlodgara (sour or bitter eructation), Gourava (heaviness), Hritkanthadaha (heart burn), Aruchi (anorexia) etc., Amlapitta include acid peptic disorders (APD)- gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Peptic ulcer diseases (PUD), dyspepsia and functional disorder of GI tract, In the present study, aimed to compare the efficacy of Jeerakadya Ghrita Arohanakrama Snehapana (increasing order) followed by Virechana with Trivrit Churnaadi yoga and Patolashunti Ghrita Arohanakrama Snehapana followed by Virechana with Trivritchurnadi yoga in the management of Adhoga Amlapitta. Material and methods: A minimum of 30 patients suffering from Adhoga Amlapitta were selected in 2 groups, 15 patients in each group. Group A- 15 patients were given Jeerakadya Ghrita Arohanakramasnehapana and Virechana. Group B-15 patients were given Patolashunti Ghrita Arohanakramasnehapana and Virechana. Follow up for 14 days (Patients will be assessed clinically on day 0, 7th day & 14th day). Total study duration is 35days. Virechana is highly significant on all the parameters, except Bhrama at both the phases. Statistical analysis of Group A and Group B are showing same result, but there will be reduction percentage in sign and symptoms like Agnimagda, Trishna, Hrillasa, Bhrama, Vividhavarnayoukta Malapravritti Group A is given better result.
