ABSTRACT
Esta pesquisa teve como objetivos conhecer o perfil das atletas de elite do futsal feminino paranaense e discutir possíveis implicações desse para a pedagogia do futsal. Aplicou-se um questionário para 43 atletas que disputaram a fase semifinal do Estadual, categoria principal, 2002. Obtiveram-se os seguintes resultados: (a) a média de idade das atletas foi de 20,55 anos (+ 4,77); (b) a Escola (46,4%), seja em aulas de Educação Física (34,8%) ou na escola de futsal da própria escola (11,6%), foi o principal ambiente de iniciação; (c) a adolescência foi o período da vida em que a maior parte (62,8%) iniciou-se na prática sistemática do futsal, em média, aos 13,69 anos (+ 3,18); (d) a idade de filiação a uma Federação aconteceu, em média, aos 17,12 anos (+ 3,28), ou seja, a maior parte (69,7%) vinculou-se à Federação na adolescência; (e) o tempo de prática sistemática, em média, foi de 6,95 anos (+ 3,18); (f) 32,5% consideraram o prazer de jogar e de se divertir como o fator mais relevante nos anos de prática sistemática, e (g) 32,5% das atletas eram remuneradas para jogar. Concluiu-se que o futsal feminino poderá questionar o paradigma atual de iniciação esportiva que se adota no futsal masculino.
The aim of this study was to determine the profile of the elite athletes of Paraná State female indoor soccer team and to discuss its possible implications for indoor football pedagogy. A survey was carried out on 43 athletes who competed in the semi-final phase of State Championship, main category, 2002 season. The following results have been obtained: (a) the athletes average age is 20,55 years old (+ 4,77); (b) the School (46,4%), whether in Physical Education class (34,8%) or in indoor soccer school, in the school premises (11,6%) is the main source of initiation; (c) adolescence is the period at which most players (62,8%) begin the systematic practice of indoor soccer, on average at the age of 13,69 years old (+ 3,18); (d) the age at which athletes become members of an Association is of 17,12 years old (+ 3,28), that is, the great majority (69,7%) has become a member of the Association during adolescence; (e) the period of time of systematic practice is, on average, of 6,95 years (+ 3,18); the pleasure to play and have fun (during the years of systematic practice) is the most relevant factor to 32,5% of the interviewed and (g) 32,5% of the athletes receive a salary. This study has concluded that female futsal may question, in the future, the current paradigm of sports initiation taken up in male futsal.
