ABSTRACT

Placental growth factor (PLGF) is isolated and purified from human placental complementary DNA (cDNA) library, and syncytiotrophoblast cells are the main synthesis site. PLGF can bind to tyrosinase receptors located in trophoblast cells and vascular endothelial cells, and regulate trophoblast cell proliferation through autocrine and paracrine regulation of angiogenesis, respectively. PLGF plays an extremely important role in the formation and development of the placenta during pregnancy. The abnormal secretion of PLGF is closely related to the occurrence and progression of pregnancy complications (such as pregnancy complicated with diabetes, hypertension in pregnancy, preeclampsia, etc.). In this paper, the structure, receptor, biological activity of PLGF and its relationship with normal pregnancy and pregnancy complications were reviewed to provide references for clinical guidance and auxiliary diagnosis of pregnancy complications.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish a HPLC method for determination of 18β-isomer in magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate. Methods The determination was performed by Agilent Extend-C18 column ( 4. 6 mm × 250 mm, 5 μm ) . Mobile phase consisted of 0. 1 mol·L-1 potassium dihydrogen phosphate buffer solution ( adjusted to pH 7. 0 with potassium hydroxide )-acetonitrile (80︰20) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1. The column temperature was 30 ℃, and the detection wavelength was set at 250 nm. Results The resolution of magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate and 18β-isomer was greater than 2.0. The linear range of them was 0.41-2.46μg·mL-1( r=0.9998) , the detection limit was 0.21 ng, and the average recovery were 100.2%,99.1%, 110.2%,RSD were 0.9%,0.1%,0.2%(n=3). Conclusion The method is simple and accurate, and can be used for determination of 18β-isomer in magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate subtle structural changes of white matter in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impair-ment (aMCI)using a tractography-based method.Methods Thirty patients with clinical diagnosis of aMCI and thirty-one cases of normal control(NC)and undergone diffusion tensor imaging.Cingulum (CG),corpus callosum (CC),uncinate fasciculus (UNC) and inferior occipitofrontal fasciculus (IOFF)were reconstructed,and fractional anisotrophy (FA)values were measured along these tracts using dTV II software.Differences of white matter tracts’FA values were explored between aMCI group and NC group.In addition,correlation analyses were also done between FA values and the MMSE(mini-mental state examination)scores in the aMCI patients.Results ① aMCI patients exhibited significant lower FA values in the bilateral CG,bilateral UNC and CC than NC group. Although there were no statistically significant differences,aMCI patients exhibited lower FA values than NC group in the left IOFF.② The FA values of right CG were positively correlated with MMSE scores.Conclusion Abnormal changes of FA values in CG,UNC and CC of aMCI patients suggest that subtle damages of white matter tracts related to memory exist in the prodromal phase of Alzheimer’s disease (AD).Fiber tractography has high sensitivity in detecting early damages of white matter.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the curative effects of carboprost tromethamine injection in treatment of postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia.Methods The clinical data of 118 patients with postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia were analyzed retrospectively.The patients were divided into control group (68 cases) and observation group (50 cases) by treatment method.The patients in control group were given conventional treatment while the patients in observation group were given carboprost tromethamine injection on basis of conventional treatment.The postpartum blood loss after 2,24 h after treatment,the third labor time and therapeutic effects in two groups were recorded and compared.The patients in control group took carboprost tromethamine injection if conventional treatment did not work and all patients should have surgery immediately if repeatedly carboprost tromethamine injection were invalid; adverse reactions of using carboprost tromethamine injection were closely watched.Results The postpartum blood loss after 2,24 h after treatment in control group was (676 ± 86),(751 ± 70) ml,which was higher than that in observation group [(238 ± 62),(281 ± 56) ml],and there was significant difference (P < 0.05).The third labor time in control group was (5.1 ± 1.9) h,which was longer than that in observation group [(2.1 ± 1.4) h],and there was significant difference(P< 0.05).After conventional treatment with 47 patients stopped bleeding in control group,and the effective rate was 69.1% (47/58),while the effective rate in observation group was 96.0% (48/50),and there was significant difference (P < 0.05).Twenty-one patients in control group accepted carboprost tromethamine injection after treatment,while the traditional therapy did not work,and the effective rate increased to be 95.2% (20/21).Among carboprost tromethamine injection treatment of 71 patients,2 cases' blood pressure increased,2 cases had facial blushing,1 case with mild headache,3 cases of diarrhea and 3 cases of nausea and vomiting (a total of 11 cases),and the incidence rate was 15.5% (11/71),which was relatively minor.All patients were given symptomatic treatment and all rell eased within 24 h,and there were no other serious adverse reactions.Conclusion Using carboprost tromethamine injection to treat postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia has more remarkable curative effects and higher clinical safety,which is worthy of clinical promotion.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the abnormal region of gray matter and its distribution characteristics in Parkinson's disease (PD) patients with mild cognitive impairment (PD-MCI),and to investigate the structural brain changes which closely related to mild cognitive impairment.Methods 27 PD patients were examined by T1WI three-dimensional brain volume (3D-fast spoiled gradient echo,3D-FSPGR) sequence,and were divided into 2 groups:PD patients with mild cognitive impairment group (PD-MCI group,n=15) and PD patients without mild cognitive impairment (PD-nMCI group,n=12).Gray matter map in the two groups were analyzed by using voxel based morphometry (VBM) based on SPM5.Results There were significant differences in MMSE and MoCA scores between the two groups (P<0.01 or 0.05).Compared with PD-nMCI group,gray matter volumes in PD-MCI group were decreased in bilateral mid frontal gyrus,left precentral gyrus,right mid-temporal gyrus,left superior temporal gyrus,transverse temporal gyrus,bilateral lingual gyrus,right cuneus,bilateral insular and right posterior cingutate gyrus.Conclusions Gray matter atrophy in bilateral mid-frontal gyrus,insular and left precentral gyrus is closely related to the mild cognitive impairment in PD patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To correlate CT findings of secondary hepatic lymphoma with pathology and to evaluate it's clinical value.Methods Nine patients with secondary hepatic lymphoma confirmed by pathology underwent spiral CT scanning and dual-phase dynamic contrast-enhancement scanning before operation, the CT data were reviewed and analysed retrospectively in comparison with surgical and pathological results.Results Twenty-three lesions of secondary hepatic lymphoma in 9 patients were located in the left lobe (9 lesions), the fight lobe (6 lesions),the porta of the liver (5 lesions) and the caudate lobe (3 lesions), respectively.Sixteen of these 23 lesions were distributed over an area near the portal vein, 7 were seattered in the exterior of liver.17 lesions had an ellipsoid contour and 6 showed irregular contour.The diameter of the lesions ranged from 2.7 to 16.5 cm, with a mean diameter of 5.9cm.The tumor demonstrated mild homogeneous dynamic delayed contrasted-enhancement and the CT value of the non-contrast scans, AP phases and PVP phases were 20.7 to 31.5 HU(with a mean value of 25.3 HU), 23.8 to 48.5 HU(with a mean value of 31.9 HU) and 35.3 to 60.2 HU(with a mean value of 47.8 HU) respectively.Intrinsic hepatic vessels could be discerned in 6 lesions.The lesions situated in the perta of the liver encased the portal vessels, but there was no vessel compression or occlusion.Conclusion Recognition of the dynamic CT features of hepatic lymphoma could enhance its diagnostic accuracy.
