ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze the importance of post competency elements of community public health professionals, and to provide data and method support for the construction and cultivation of community public health professionals. Methods:In September to October 2020, 25 experts were selected in the study, and the interval value hesitant fuzzy entropy method was used to analyze the importance of post competency elements. Excel 2013 and SPSS 25.0 were used to calculate the data. Results:Among the primary index of post competency elements, the order of importance were professional quality (0.207), professional knowledge and skills (0.204), integrative thinking (0.200), personal characteristics (0.199), basic professional ability (0.191); for second-level indicators, for second-level indicators, critical thinking (0.105), systematic thinking (0.095), public health knowledge and skills (0.044) were the top three of post competency elements were the top three of post competency elements. Conclusion:The recessive professional accomplishment dominated by professional ethics, the integrative thinking of public health dominated by critical thinking, and the professional knowledge and skills dominated by public health knowledge and skills should be focused on.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the therapeutic effects of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) with or without radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients based on propensity score matching.

METHODSA logistic regression model was established with the treatment assignment as the dependent variable and the covariates as the independent variables. For each HCC patient, the propensity score was calculated from the model for caliper matching, and a survival analysis of the matched data were carried out.

RESULTSThe covariates between the groups were balanced after caliper matching based on the propensity scores. Before matching, the one-, two-, and three-year survival rates of TACE and TACE+RFA were 52.07% and 59.08%, 32.24% and 36.43%, and 316.54% and 19.39%, with the median survival time of 1.20 and 1.40 years, respectively, showing no significant differences in the overall survival rate between the two groups. After matching, the 1-year, 2-year, and 3-year survival rates of TACE and TACE+RFA groups were 54.39% and 62.28%, 23.15% and 40.08%, and 10.20% and 18.52%, with the median survival time of 1.10 years and 1.50 years, respectively, showing significant differences in the overall survival between the two groups. The survival rate in TACE+RFA group was higher than that of TACE only group.

CONCLUSIONPropensity score matching can effectively reduce the confounding bias of non-randomized clinical observational data for a more accurate evaluation of the therapeutic effect in HCC patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the medical students' medical professionalism. Methods Totally 1200 medical college students from first grade to fourth were randomly selected to do the self-designed questionnaire of medical occupation spirit using the method of cluster sampling.Principal component analysis was applied to do data processing and analysis. Results ①Two principle components were extracted, the first principal component included the attitude on the personal contact with patient, attitude on the in-depth clinical practice aiming at improving the ability of doctor-patient communication, attitude on playing multiple roles in contacting patient and the understanding of the physician-patient relationship. The second principal component included the working attitude toward history collection, the sense of pride when be praised “proficiency” and the attitude towards difficult operations.② The scores of medical occupation spirit for medical students of first grade to four grade were:-4.4226,-0.0343,-5.1397,0.6827.The score was the highest in grade three medical students followed by grade two and grade one. Conclusion Unstable development trend was observed in medical occupation spirit among medical students and due attention should be paid.Strengthening the medical studenl occupation spirit education and training should focus on two aspects:the subjective aspect, namely active communication and exchange with patients who have subjective dynamic consciousness; the objective aspect, namely the attitude towards the grasp of professional skills.

ABSTRACT

Higher mathematics teaching has for long been regarded as the instruction of pure mathematical theory and knowledge, which lacks the enlightenment of humanistic thoughts. This paper innovatively introduces humanistic thoughts and spirit into the teaching process of higher mathematics, which propels the lecture teaching effect of higher mathematics, enhances the teaching efficiency of higher mathematics, and promotes the humanistic quality of medical students.
