ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate effects analysis of joint function and MMP-7 and MMP-9 measurement after synovial ar-throscopic debridement for knee synovitis. Methods 72 patients with knee synovitis method based on a random draw were e-qually divided into the treatment group and the control group, the control group were given the traditional synovial planing surgery. The treatment group were given the arthroscopic debridement synovium. Results After treatment, the response rates in the treatment group and the control group were 97.2% and 80.6% respectively. The response rate of the treatment group were significantly better than the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).The postopera-tive Lysholm scores were increased significantly, while the pain scores were significantly reduced, and the postoperative Ly-sholm score and pain scores difference compared between the two groups were also statistically significant. The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).The postoperative synovial tissue MMP-7 and MMP-9 expression rates were in the two groups significantly lower. The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05),while the postoperative MMP-7 and MMP-9 expression rates of the treatment group were ignificantly lower than the control group (P <0.05).Conclusion Syn-ovial arthroscopic debridement for knee synovitis can relieve pain and improve knee function, reduce the expression of MMP-7 and MMP-9,thereby enhance the overall efficacy of the treatment.

ABSTRACT

Objective Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) were induced to differentiate to the special histological types of neurons in vitro. The morphological change of cells and positive expression of specific antigen on membrane were studied, and the function of connection between the induced BMSCs was also detected. The feasibility of BMSCs differentiate to the special histological types of neurons was investigated. Methods BMSCs were divided into group Ⅰ (induced with bFGF+GDNF),group Ⅱ (induced with bFGF+GDNF+WHI-P131 +Shh),and control group (no revulsive). The morphologic change of cells was observed, and the positive rate of neuron specific surface antigen and the content of dopamine were detected.Formation of mature synaptic structure was detected by immunohistochemical assay of postsynaptic density protein 95 (PSD-95) expression, and synaptic loop was shown by FM1-43 stain synaptic vesicles. Results By immunohistochemical staining, the positive rates of dopamine transporter (DAT) and tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) in group Ⅱ were significantly higher than those in group Ⅰ,and dopamine can been detected in cell culture supematant of group Ⅱ.After BMSCs was induced into dopamine neuron-like cells, number and length of cell protrusions, positive rate of PSD-95 and fluorescence intensity of FM1-43 in group Ⅱ were significantly higher than those of group Ⅰ.Conclusions There were no significant change in positive rate of neuron-specific surface markers, rate of cell survival and differentiation rate after BMSCs differentiated to dopaminergic neuron-like cells. The number and length of cell protrusions, content of dopamine in cell culture supematant, positive rate of dopaminergic neuron-specific surface antigen (DAT and TH),synaptic function index (positive rate of PSD-95 and fluorescence intensity of synaptic loop) of group Ⅱ were all significantly higher than that of group Ⅰ.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of three-dim en sional CT in diagnosis and treatment of posterior pelvic ring fractures. Methods A retrospective analysis was done for 19 cases of posterior pelvic ring fractur es who were treated from March 2002 to August 2003 and had plain and three-dime nsional CT films. Their radiological characteristics and results were compared b etween the 2 kinds of film. Results 3-D CT corrected the misdiagnosis or uncert ainty of 9 cases who had plain radio-graphs. The 3-D CT showed obvious advanta ges over plain radio-graphs in detecting sacroiliac diastasis, sacroiliac joint fragments, fractures involving iliac and sacral lips abutting the sacroiliac jo int, sacral fracture and complicated comminuted fracture, because it clearly del ineated fractures of posterior pelvic ring and manifested the severity of commin ution and separation. Conclusion The 3-D CT scan provides valuable information for precise diagnosis and treatment plan for the complex posterior pelvic ring f ractures.
