ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for improving the reporting of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in the hospital.METHODS:A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the reporting of ADRs and causes of missing reports by medical staff in all departments of a third grade class A hospital. The related data were statistically analyzed.RESULTS:A total of 967 questionnaires were distributed, and 900 questionnaires were collected, with a recovery rate of 93.07%.Among them,875 were valid questionnaires, and the effective rate was 97.22%.Among the medical staff, who can correctly answer the main causes of ADRs (drugs were toxic, individual difference),accounted for 42.51% and 49.26%;35.89% of staff did not receive any ADRs training in one year;33.83% did not know the ADRs reporting system and ways;30.06% would fill in the ADRs statement voluntarily;61.49% considered that the absence of full-time personnel was the main difficulty in reporting ADRs;41.60% indicated that they had previously reported ADRs.The causes of missing ADR reports by medical staff were ranked as high to low:uncertainty about ADRs,and there was no relevant information in the hospital (accounting for 45.94%);the filling process of ADR reports was complicated (accounting for 34.97%);do not have the phone number of ADR supervision department in hospital (accounting for 33.60%);do not know the reporting process (accounting for 33.49%),and so on.CONCLUSIONS:The situation of ADR reporting by medical staff in the hospital is not satisfactory, most of them have varying degrees of missing ADRs.The inadequate management and publicity of ADR monitoring, poorly trained by the hospital is an important reason for missing reporting.

ABSTRACT

Objective To determine the rate of human papillomavirus virus (HPV)infection and HPV subtypes distribution in women from Yingtan,so as to provide more reliable and scientific clinical data for the prevention and control of cervical carcinoma. Methods 4 165 women were retrospectively analyzed, who were outpatients or physical examination people of Railroad Branch of People′s Hospital of Yingtan from January 2011 to June 2013.23 types of HPV genotypes were detected in cervical samples by u-sing the nucleic acid amplification and reverse dot hybridization technology. Results 1 311 HPV positive samples were found in 4 165 women (31.48%),of which 20.86% with single HPV genotype infection,6.27% with double HPV genotypes infection, 2.76% with triple HPV genotypes infection,0.84% with quadriad HPV genotypes infection, and 0.72% with more than quadriad HPV genotypes infection.HPV52 had the highest infection rate, accounting for 12.43%,following with HPV43,58,16.>20-25 age group had the highest infection rate(43.19%).Conclusion Women have high HPV infection rate in Yingtan, and HPV subtypes such as HPV52,43,58,16 are superior infection genotypes.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo evaluate the efficacy and safety profiles of enteeavir (ETV) in patients with advanced schistosomiasis and hepatitis B virus (HBV) co-infection.Methods Totally sixty patients with advanced schistosomiasis and HBV co-infection were enrolled in this study. The patients were divided into ETV treatment group (n=30) and rhubarb treatment group who refused to receive antiviral treatment (n=30).The patients were treated with ETV or rhubarb thelepus ball on the basis of routine supportive therapy for 52 weeks. The hepatic fibrosis markers (e.g.hyaluronic acid, type Ⅲ procollagen, type Ⅳ collagen, laminin and fibronectin),alanine transaminase (ALT),HBV DNA,Child-Pugh score between two groups were compared.Intention to treat (ITT) population was used for analysis. The measurement data and the enumeration data were analyzed by t test and x2 test, respectively.ResultsAfter 52-week treatment, the hepatic fibrosis markers (hyaluronic acid, type Ⅲ procollagen, type Ⅳ collagen, laminin and fibronectin) were significantly improved in ETV treatment group compared to the rhubarb treatment group (t =3.952,3.765,3.857,3.122 and 3.735,respectively; all P<0.05),and the fibrosis of liver tissue in ETV treatment group was significantly improved compared with rhubarb treatment group (x2 =11.207,P<0.05).The ALT level,HBV DNA,Child-Pugh score after 52-weeks treatment in ETV treatment group were statistically reduced compared with rhubarb treatment group (t =3.287,4.382 and 3.872,respectively; all P<0.05),meanwhile,the ALT normalization rate and HBV DNA undetectable rate were significantly increased in ETV treatment group (x2 =17.376 and 39.095,respectively; both P<0.05).In addition,no obvious adverse reaction was observed during ETV treatment. Conclusion Entecavir is safe and effective in patients with advanced schistosomiasis and HBV co-infection.
