ABSTRACT

AIM: To explore the promoting effect of 2-APB on skin wound healing in mice and its potential mechanism. METHODS: KM mice were divided into 5 groups: control group, DMSO group, low (50 mg/L), medium (100 mg/L) and high (200 mg/L) concentration 2-APB group. On the back of each mouse's skin use a circular punch about 1 cm on both sides of the midline of the spine to make a skin wound with a diameter of 10 mm and as deep as the fascia. The control group was only wrapped with gauze and no drugs were applied; the DMSO group was applied 1 g DMSO/Vaseline ointment per day; in the 2-APB group, apply 1 g of 2-APB/Vaseline ointment at a corresponding concentration every day. Pictures were taken the next day to observe the healing, and the material was taken on the 21st day, HE staining was used to observe the pathological morphology of the wound and western blot to detect TRPM7, TGF-β, collagen-I and IL-1β expression. RESULTS: Compared with the control group and the DMSO group, different concentrations of 2-APB could significantly promote skin wound healing in mice (P<0.01), but there was no significant difference in wound healing rate between the DMSO group and the control group group. The results of HE staining showed that, compared with the control group group and the DMSO group, 2-APB could increase the collagen content of the wound and the thickness of the dermis (P<0.01), but there was no significant difference between the DMSO group and the control group group. At the same time, 2-APB could also significantly increase the expression of TGF-β and Col-I on the wound, and inhibit the expression of TRPM7 and IL-1β. CONCLUSION: Different concentrations of 2-APB (50, 100 and 200 mg/L) can promote skin wound healing, and its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of TRPM7.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the clinical efficacy of modified Liuwei Dihuang Decoction (LDD) combined with metformin plus atorvastatin for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) complicated with hyperlipidemia. Methods A total of 120 cases of T2DM patients complicated with hyperlipidemia were randomly divided into study group (N=60) and control group (N=60), which were treated with LDD combined with metformin plus atorvastatin orally, and with oral use of metformin plus atorvastatin respectively. The course of treatment lasted for 12 weeks. Before and after treatment, we compared the blood levels of fasting blood glucose (FBG), 2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPG), glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1C), total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) in the two groups. After treatment, we evaluated the therapeutic effect of the two groups. Results (1) The total effective rate of the study group was 95.0%, and that of the control group was 83.3%, the effective rate of the study group being significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). (2) After treatment, the blood levels of FBG, 2hPG and HbA1C of both groups were significantly lower than pre-treatment levels (P <0.001), and the levels of FBG, 2hPG and HbA1C of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05, P<0.01 or P<0.001). (3) After treatment, the TC, TG and LDL-C levels of both groups were significantly lower and HDL-C was higher than pre-treatment levels (P < 0.001); the levels of TC and TG levels of the study group were significantly lower and HDL-C was higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.001). Conclusion LDD combined with metformin plus atorvastatin exerts certain effect for the treatment of T2DM complicated with hyperlipidemia, and is more effective than metformin or atorvastatin alone.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the instruction value of the color Doppler ultrasonography for the diagnosis and treatment of the pediatric intussusceptions .Methods Retrospective study the color Doppler ultrasonographic performance of 114 patients with diagnosis of pediatric intussusception in the affiliated hospital of Zunyi medical college ,from October 2009 to June 2012 ,reviewed the case ,groups were compared according to the ways of therapeutic methods .Results All the 114 cases of children of the intus-susception are subject to air enema reset or surgery cured confirmed .Age younger than 12 months intussusception children ,air ene-ma reset were more likely to success ;the diameter of concentric circles levy, the length of sleeve for and the thickness of bowel wall were smaller ,the more suitable for outsiders air enema reset .The blood supply of scabbard of bowel wall and the mesenteric was rich ,the air enema reset had a higher success rate ,blood supply was poor and the success rate was lower .The success rate of air enema reset was influenced by the part of intussusception .Conclusion Combined use of conventional color ultrasonic and high fre-quency probe checking ,can raise the diagnosis rate of pediatric intussusception ,the primary lesion confirmed and the detection rate in the position of the disease ,provide guidance for clinical choice reduction treatment .

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect of Zhimaikang Granules (Granules for lipid abnormality) on atherosclerosis of hyperlipidemia patients of phlegm turbidity retention type. Methods Totally 120 hyperlipidemia patients were randomized into treatment group and control group, 60 cases in each. The treatment group was administered Zhimaikang Granules, each time 1 bag, twice a day. The control group was given Simvastatin Tablets, oral taking before sleeping. Both groups were treated for 45 days. Changes of superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA), and nitric oxide (NO) were observed. Results After treatment, activity of NO and SOD were significantly higher than before in both groups (P0.05).Conclusion Zhimaikang Granules was proved to enhance the activity of antioxidase, promote anti-free radical reactions, inhibit lipid peroxidation and protect endothelial cells in atherosclerosis patients.
