El presente trabajo tiene por objeto mostrar la realidad actual de la presentación pelviana en el Hospital Materno Infantil "Ramón Sarda" durante el año 1996. La edad promedio fue de 27.2 años y el 47.5 por ciento eran nulíparas. La amenorrea al parto fue de 37.6 semanas y solo el 34.7 por ciento tuvo oportunidad de tener un trabajo de parto. El 40 por ciento no registraba antecedentes de partos ni cesáreas, el 43.8 por ciento tenía partos pero no cesáreas, el 7.5 por ciento tenía cesáreas pero no partos. Si tomamos el mayor peso de los nacidos previamente por vía vaginal y lo promediamos da 3.428 g. Terminaron en cesárea el 83 por ciento del total de pacientes. Si consideramos a los que tuvieron solamente partos vaginales previos fue de 63.8 por ciento. El peso al nacer promedio fue de 2.997 g y la edad gestacional por exámen físico fue de 38 semanas. Hubo 4.5 por ciento de deprimidos graves al 1er. minuto y 1.5 por ciento al 5to. minuto
