ABSTRACT

PurposeAdult intussusception is rare, and clinical symptoms are atypical and tend to be misdiagnosed. This study aims to explore the imaging features of intussusception on multi-slice CT (MSCT) and to improve the diagnosis of this disease. Materials and Methods Sixty cases with intussusception conifrmed by pathology were recruited and imaging ifndings including sleeve head lesions, set sheath canal, exhumation of intestine, involved mesenteric fat, and blood vessels were retrospectively analyzed. Results The direct sings included 60 cases with target signs, 44 of them with single target signs and 16 of them with double target signs; the shape was kidney like in 39 cases and irregular in 21 cases; 22 cases showed double intestinal signs, 15 cases showed comet tail signs, and 25 cases showed mountain like with different direction. The indirect signs included 60 cases with thickened intestinal wall and 45 cases with mesenterium fat and vessel in enteric cavity, 12 cases with adjacent mesenteric mass and enlarged retroperitoneal lymph nodes, 15 cases with ascites, 7 cases with metastatic tumors, including 4 cases of liver metastasis, 2 of pelvic ossiifcation metastasis, and 1 of multiple organ metastasis, 1 case combined with renal calculus and 3 case with ureteral caluli. Conclusion There are some special CT manifestations of adult intussusception. Mountain like sign with different direction at the tail is one of the characteristics. CT plays an important role in clinical procedure.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the different low-dose CT scanning of the craniofacial trauma of application value.Methods 60 cases of craniofacial trauma patients were divided into one group of conventional-dose group of line scan and 3 different low-dose CT scan,the conventional dose group(120 kV,220 mA),low dose group (120 kV,60,80 ,60 mA) compared the level 4 group of patients with image quality and radiation dose received. Results The low-dose (160,100 mA) CT scan obtained better CT image,patients of 60 mA group received a lower radiation dose. Group single-scan dose index weights were reduced 33%,67% and 73% respectively; There was no significant differences between low-dose group(160,80 mA) and the normal group,while there was significant differences between the group of 60mA and normal group. Conclusion The use of low-dose (80 mA) for craniofacial trauma scan images obtained from the diagnosis and treatment of disease has no bad effect.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate Low-dose MSCT scanning in detection more traumatism disease and its significance in radioprotection. Methods Conventional and low-dose and integrative spiral CT scanning were performed in 50 cases of adult with more traumatism disease. The accuracy in the characteristic diagnosis was compared and dose difference was analyzed. Results There were no significant differences between two ways of MSCT scans in characteristic diagnosis. The radiation dose was greatly decreased in low -dose and integrative spiral CT scanning. The quality of images was not different, Conclusion It is feasible to perform low-dose and integrative spiral CT examination in more traumatism and satisfactory imaging quality is showed with low cost and more benefit for patients in radioprotection.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the ideal parameters for the application of mobile shimadzu DR to low-dose lung screening.Methods 300 subjects were divided into two groups randomly,of which,one went through conventional screening with 120 kV voltage and 5mA current intensity,and the other through low-dose screening with 110 kV voltage and 1.2 mA intensity.Results All the images from two groups could satisfy the diagnosis requirements and had no aparent difference.Conclusion Low-dose screening,with similar result to the conventional one,can decrease radiation dose and prolong the service life of the machine,and thus can be used for examination of large-scale population.

ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the application value of the mobile DR in large-scale physical examination. Methods Compared each 500 chest images that collected for the physical examination by the mobile DR, direct digital radiography(DR), then did another comparison about each 300 chest images of mobile DR and phnendoskiascope, recorded them by no displayed, displayed and limpid-displayed. Results The resolution of images collected by the mobile DR was comparative with the ones collected by direct digital radiography, better than phnendoskiascope in showing details. Conclusion The mobile DR images have a good resolution ratio as DR images have, meanwhile, this machine is easy to be taken and removed Examination while DR could not, and therefore the machine can do large-scale physical whatever inside or outside.
