ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the current situation of early postoperative pain beliefs in patients with mixed hemorrhoids and its influencing factors, and to provide a basis for formulating targeted intervention measures. Methods:Totally 242 postoperative patients with mixed hemorrhoids who were treated in Guilin Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine were selected by convenience sampling method from January 2020 to January 2021 as the research object. The general information questionnaire, Pain Belief and Perception Scale, Visual Analogue Scale, Positive and Negative Emotion Scale were used to investigate. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the factors influencing of early postoperative pain beliefs in patients with mixed hemorrhoids. Results:The total score of early postoperative pain belief in patients with mixed hemorrhoids was -21-30 (5.32 ± 2.57) points; the results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, education level, anal visual analogue score, and negative emotion scores were main factors affecting their pain beliefs ( r=0.736, P<0.05). Conclusions:Patients with mixed hemorrhoids have negative pain beliefs in the early postoperative period. Patients with advanced age, primary/junior high school, high anal pain intensity, and high negative emotion scores are more likely to have negative pain beliefs. Nursing staff should promptly formulate targeted intervention measures according to the main influencing factors in order to reduce the occurrence of negative beliefs about pain.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To deeply understand the pain perception and experience of patients after mixed hemorrhoid surgery, so as to provide reference for taking targeted intervention measures to relieve pain symptoms. Methods:Purpose sampling method was used to conduct semi-structured in-depth interviews with 9 patients with postoperative pain of mixed hemorrhoids admitted to Guilin Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from February to March 2021, and Colaizzi phenomenological analysis method was used to analyze data and refine themes. Results:The pain perception and experience of patients after mixed hemorrhoid surgery can be summarized into 5 themes: fear of pain, persistent negative thinking about pain, perception of inability to cope with pain, emotional expectation, and expectation of Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing techniques. Conclusions:Patients after mixed hemorrhoid surgery have many burdens and needs in terms of pain experience. Medical staff must establish a complete pain management system for patients after mixed hemorrhoid surgery, aiming at the catastrophic pain experience of patients, correcting their cognitive level of pain management, and satisfying patients Alleviate the need for pain, establish an effective emotional and family support system, improve its pain self-management ability, and promote postoperative recovery.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To analyze the mental health status and its impact factors among nurses, finding ways to improve the mental health of nurses.@*Methods@#A total of 13 425 female healthcare workers aged from 18 to 65 were selected as study objects. The survey was conducted with unified design questionnaire. The survey included the basic situation of the individuals and SCL-90 questionnaire. Comparing the female doctors, the mental health status and its impact factors of nurses were analyzed.@*Results@#The income, age, education and occupation, which include shift work, heavy work load and overtime work are different between nurses and doctors. The main mental health problems of nurses were obsessive-compulsive symptoms, depressive symptoms and somatization. The results of univariate analysis indicated that shift work, overtime work, and heavy work load affected the positive rate of each factor. The results of multivariate analysis showed that occupation, shift work, overtime work, and heavy work load have significant adverse effects on the positive rate of the total score in female healthcare workers (P<0.01) . The positive rate of each dimension of SCL-90 in nurses is significantly higher than that of doctors.@*Conclusion@#The mental health problems of nurses are significantly higher than doctors. The main reasons are low occupational level and adverse workstyles which include shift work, heavy workload and so on. Health administration and hospital management departments should pay much more attention to the mental health of nurses, improving their mental health through a variety of ways.

ABSTRACT

Evaluating and monitoring long-term survival of cancer patients and reporting the survival rate are routinely employed by cancer registries. Long-term survival rate is a necessary indicator in evaluating the effect of cancer therapy and cancer burden. Cohort method is a traditional approach for survival analysis, but it essentially reflects the survival expectations of patients diagnosed many years ago, therefore survival status of cancer patients was often disclosed with delay. Given the limitation of cohort method, period analysis and model-based period analysis are subsequently proposed and gradually applied in assessment of survival rates in recent years. Period analysis includes the patients of interest period, which reflects more up-to-date estimates of long-term survival of cancer patients. While model-based period analysis can use the existing data to calculate survival rates and to assess the trend, and predict survival rates in the future. Compared with cohort approach, period analysis and model-based period analysis are better in timeliness and precision in survival analysis. This article reviews the definition and theory, calculation and application of cohort method, period analysis and model-based period analysis, in order to provide a basis on up-to-date and precise assessment of survival rates of cancer patients.

ABSTRACT

Colorectal cancer is caused by the interaction of genetic and environment factors. Domestic and foreign scholars have attempted to develop several colorectal cancer risk prediction models, in order to identity risk factors, to screen for high risk population and evaluate the risk of developing colorectal cancer, so as to provide personalized screening protocols for individuals with different risk, and eventually reduce the incidence and mortality rate of colorectal cancer. Currently, the common colorectal cancer risk prediction models were mainly developed based on case-control study and cohort study. Models developed in European and American regions and Asia (excluding China) only include common risk factors, while Chinese models also include hereditary factors on the bases of common risk factors. However, the development and verification of each model are mainly based on local population, whether it can be applied for other population need to be determined. This article reviews the development, validation and evaluation of the risk prediction models, in order to provide a basis for developing more precise risk prediction models for colorectal cancer.

ABSTRACT

Objective To know the stability of 3 kinds of traditional Chinese drug injection with different solvent under different temperature and different storage time, and then reference to safty of clinical durgs. Methods Use particle analyzer,UV SpectropHotometer,pH Determination of three traditional Chinese medicine injection,at different temperatures and different times, the nuanber of particles,pH value, the value of UV absorbance Observe changes. Results The records of experimental data by repeated measures analysis of statistics: Ciwujia Injection,Aidi injection combined with normal saline solution after the particles of ≥ 10μm excess pharmacopoeia standards; ≥ 2μm number of particles is considerable,in the 32~35℃,Ciwujia at T=O min Aidi at T=I80 min ,the number of particles are smaller and with statistical significance, its pH value of the standard range. Xuesaitong injection with glucose injection ≥ 10μm particulate mixture at a higher temperature in excess of pH annacopoeia standards, number of ≥ 2 μm particles in the 4~8℃ and 20~23℃,T=30 min and 60 min time less with statistical significance, and its range of pH value less than pHarmacopoeia. Three kinds of Chinese medicine in the Department's largest UV absorbance peak value and appearance almost unchanged. Conclusions Different drugs in their relative Suggestions of temperature, time and place under intravenous drug use,or better terminal filter,in order to improve the safety of clinical medication.
