ABSTRACT

110 patients with tumors of vascular origin in the head and neck were studied. These were found to constitute 8% of all head and neck tumors [110 out of 1310]. The histopathological types, sites, age incidence were determined. These included 55 hemangiomas [50%]: 50 fibroangioma [45%] and five glomus body tumors [5%]. Special classification based on anatomical base was proposed. Vascular tumors must be considered in the differential diagnosis of head and neck tumors specially in young age groups, females, and discolored lesions
