ABSTRACT

Se describen 6 casos clínicos de mujeres con embarazo ectópico intersticial de menor incidencia entre las formas de la variedad tubárica, tratadas en el Hospital Ginecoobstétrico Docente "Tamara Bunke Bider" de Santiago de Cuba. Esta entidad clínica ha mostrado un incremento inusual en la población asistida (7,59 %) que resulta, 2,57 veces mayor que la media (2,95 %) del intervalo notificado en la bibliografía médica (1,9-4 %). Se exponen las historias individuales de las pacientes en forma tabulada y, asimismo, los autores ofrecen sus consideraciones a propósito de estas experiencias.


Six case reports of women with interstitial ectopic pregnancy of lower incidence among the forms of tubaric variety treated in "Tamara Bunke Bider" Teaching Gynecological and Obstetrical Hospital from Santiago de Cuba are described. This clinical entity has shown an unusual increase in the assisted population (7.59%), which is 2.57 times higher than the mean (2.95%) of the interval notified in the medical literature (1.9-4%). Tabulated individual medical records of the patients are exposed and, likewise, the authors offer their considerations concerning these experiences.

La procreacón en mujeres con hemoglobinopatí­as de tipo S deviene un grave problema de salud reproductiva, que ha exigido una atención sostenida, diferenciada y multidisciplinaria durante un cuarto de siglo. A tal fin, los autores diseñaron y aplicaron un protocolo específico de trabajo médico integral, cuyos resultados, considerados por ellos como muy satisfactorios, se describen y analizan en este artí­culo.


Procreation in women with type S hemoglobinopathies is a serious problem of reproductive health which has demanded a sustained, differentiated and multidisciplinary care during a quarter of century. For this, the authors designed and applied a specific protocol of comprehensive medical work whose results, considered by them as very satisfactory, are described and analyzed here in this work.

La procreación en la mujer con hemoglobinopatía de tipo S constituye un grave problema de salud reproductiva que, en Cuba, ha requerido una atención sostenida, diferenciada y multidisciplinaria durante 25 años, con vista a lo cual se diseñó y aplicó un protocolo específico de trabajo médico integral en el territorio. En este artículo, sus autores exponen los resultados perinatales y su valor estadístico, considerados por ellos como muy satisfactorios, teniendo en cuenta lo descrito en las referencias consultadas sobre el tema.


Procreation in women with hemoglobinopathy S-type is a serious reproductive health problem that in Cuba has required a sustained, differentiated and multidisciplinary care during 25 years, therefore a specific protocol of comprehensive medical work was designed and implemented in the territory. In this article the authors described the perinatal outcomes and their statistical value considered by them very satisfactory, taking into account what was described in the references on the topic.
