El Dr. Ángel Sánchez Vicente es un paradigma de docente en la enseñanza en el Instituto de Ciencias Básicas y Preclínicas «Victoria de Girón¼, en particular de la Histología. Excelente profesor en el uso del pizarrón y precursor de las tecnologías de avanzadas vinculadas a la docencia. Inició su larga carrera en la docencia Médica, como Profesor Auxiliar en la Cátedra de Histología-Embriología, en el año 1966, en el ICBP «Victoria de Girón¼. En 1976 fue promovido a la categoría de Profesor Titular. Su larga experiencia como profesor de pre-universitario y en la especialidad de Histología, ponen en evidencia, su vocación por la enseñanza. Por todos los años que dedicó a la docencia, el Doctor Ángel Sánchez contribuyó a la formación de muchos bachilleres y médicos que lo recuerdan con cariño y orgullo por haber sido sus alumnos.

He began his long carrier in medical teaching as Senior Professor in Histology Embryology cathedra in The Preclinical and Basic Science Institute «Victoria de Girón¼ in 1966. He was promoted to the category of Full professor in 1976. His long experience like college professor and in Histology specialty takes in evidence his vocation for teaching. By all those years dedicated to teach, Dr. Ángel Sánchez Vicente contributed to the formation of many bachelors and physician which remember him with love and proud because they were his students.

Histología y biología celular y molecular como antecedentes del proyecto de programa de Morfofisiología I / Histology I and molecular cellular biology as antecessors of the program of Morph physiology I

Se analizaron los Programas de Histología I y de Biología Celular y Molecular que se impartían en Primer Año de la Carrera de Medicina en Cuba, hasta el Curso 2006-2007, con el propósito de valorar sus objetivos instructivos y sus contenidos, para facilitar las modificaciones a introducir en la creación de la asignatura Morfofisiología I. Se revisaron y compararon ambos documentos bajo un enfoque teórico, en lo relativo a las repeticiones que provocaban áreas de solapamiento entre ambos .Se encontró, que excepto la fundamentación, los dos programas presentaban todos los componentes, pero no obstante, existían numerosas repeticiones entre sus objetivos instructivos y contenidos, en lo que respecta a la célula eucariota, entre los Tema1 del Programa de Histología I y los Temas I, V, VI y VII del Programa de Biología Celular y Molecular, evidenciándose la necesidad de hacerlos coincidir, para evitar las repeticiones innecesarias que dañaban el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje y que mostraban tendencias al solapamiento en estas asignaturas. En el análisis efectuado, también se evidenció, que deben abordarse los puntos coincidentes con los programas de Embriología en el orden horizontal y los de Anatomía Patológica y Agentes Biológicos en el orden vertical, como aspectos conducentes a la creación de un programa novedoso de Ciencias Básicas Biomédicas, que a partir de la Morfofisiología I permitan establecer las adecuadas relaciones con la clínica y la atención primaria de salud.

An analysis of the Programs of the Histology I and Cellular and Molecular Biology subjects of the Curriculum of the career of Medicine in Cuba, is carried out with the purpose of valuing the objectives and contents of both subjects, in order to facilitate the understanding of the modifications to insert it in the new design of the program of Morphophysiology I. For that reason we revised and compared both programs and it was studied, under a theoretical point of view, the coincidences between both programs. Numerous repetitions among the aims and contents were found, in what concerns to the description and analysis of the eukaryotic cell, being evidenced the requirement to make them coincide among the subjects and in that way to avoid superfluous repetitions that would damage the teaching - learning process and with the evident tendencies to the overlapping, to the encyclopedic knowledge and the cloistering of the specialties in the respective departments that leadership the teaching process of these sciences. In this analysis, it was also evidenced that the points of possible coincidences should be approached with those contents in the programs of Embryology subject in the horizontal order and those of Pathological Anatomy and Biological agents subjects in the vertical order, as conducive aspects to the creation of a novel program of Basic Biomedical Sciences that starting from Morphophysiology subject allows to establish the appropriate relationships with the clinic and the primary attention of health.
