ABSTRACT

The study analyses clinical features, diagnosis and prognosis of 17 patients of Guillian Barre syndrome [GBS] in Pakistan and compares it with published literature. Among seventeen patients ten were less than 40 years of age and ten presented between the months of April-June. Clinical features were no different from other studies. The study of EMG showed reduced [< 20%] CMAP amplitude in 91% of cases but these patients did not show bad prognosis
