ABSTRACT

Dos mujeres embarazadas con parálisis cerebral infantil fueron programadas para cesárea electiva. Debido a la escoliosis y retardo mental de las pacientes la anestesia neuroaxial era técnicamente muy difícil, optándose por una anestesia general. Se administra propol endovenoso para la inducción e isoflurane para el mantenimiento. En ambos casos de obtienen productos sanos con buena puntuación de Apgar y sin complicaciones maternas ni neonatales.


Two pregnant women with cerebral palsy were scheduled for cesarean section. Curvature of the spine and mental retardation make regional anestesia technically very difficult, so general anestesia was selected. Propofol were intravenouslsy administered for induction and isoflurane for maintenance. In both cases, healthy babies were delivered with good Apgar score and without maternal and neonatal complications.
