ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo investigaate the clinical efficacy of Aidi injection-asisted R-CHOP chemotherapy for the treatment of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).

METHODSFifty-one patients diagnosed as DLBCL in our department from February 2005 to September 2015 were randomly divided into 2 groups. Out of them, 26 patients in one group received R-CHOP chemotherapy asisted by Aidi intravenous infection (Aidi+R-CHOP group), 25 patients were in another group received only R-CHOP chemotherapy (R-CHOP group), 3 weeks for one course, to tally continuous 2 courses. The recent therapeutic efficacy, adverse events, quality of life, sIL-2R level and long-term survival rate were compared between 2 groups.

RESULTSThe efficacy of the Aidi+R-CHOP group was significantly higher than that of the R-CHOP group (P<0.05); the incidences of neutropenia and thrombocytopenia were significantly lower than the R-CHOP group (P<0.05); besides, KPS scores were significantly higher than in the R-CHOP group (P<0.05); sIL-2R level in the Aidi+R-CHOP group after treatment was significantly lower than that in the R-CHOP group (P<0.05), however, these data were not statistically different between the two groups before treatment. In addition, 3 and 5-year progression-free survival (PFS) rate in the Aidi+R-CHOP group was significantly higher than that in the R-CHOP group.

CONCLUSIONThe use of Aidi injection-asisted R-CHOP chemotherapy for treating patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma can increase the patient's tolerance to chemotherapy, improve their quality of life, also reduce the side-effects of chemotherapy, and the trerapeutic effect is more significant than that of R-CHOP regimen alone, thus improving the overall therapeutic efficacy of patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUNDVarious etiologies that contribute to the loss of pregnancy have been proposed. Despite the lack of established and uniform screening methods for recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), there are several factors considered to be definite (or probable) causes of RPL. Data describing the etiological characteristics of RPL consist almost entirely of Caucasian populations. As we were interested in the Chinese population, the goal of this study was to determine the etiological characteristics of RPL in the Chinese patients.

METHODSThe study was performed retrospectively by analyzing 1122 women with RPL. Patients were divided into three groups according to their number of pregnancy losses. Diagnostic tests included the following 9 critiria: parental genetics, uterine anatomy, autoimmune factors, alloimmune factors, thrombophilic factors, endocrine parameters, genital infection, toxoplasma, rubella, cytomegalovirus, herpes (TORCH) titers and RH blood groups. The criteria for abnormal results were defined before diagnosis.

RESULTSWe found that 87.1% (977/1122) patients had no more than 3 abnormal aspects, and the proportion of total abnormal results was similar among groups. The prevalence of abnormal results for each test did not differ among groups, except in the cases of parental genetics, uterine anatomy and presence of mixed lymphocyte reaction blocking antibodies (MLR-Bf). Absence of MLR-Bf, as well as abnormally increased levels of CD3⁺CD19⁺ and CD56⁺CD16⁺ cells, was commonly detected in Chinese RPL patients.

CONCLUSIONImmunological disorders play an important role in RPL among Chinese patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the influential factors of systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) activity during pregnancy and their relationship with pregnancy outcome. Methods A retrospective analysis of the clinical history of 66 pregnant women with SLE from 1991 to 2005 was carried out.Results(1) Those patients with unstable status progestation, patients being newly diagnosed with SLE during pregnancy or patients irregularly using prednisone became active during pregnancy. The disease was active in 32 cases(the active group)and inactive in 34 cases(the inactive group).(2)Obstetric complications in the active group included:9 cases of preeclampsia,13 cases of fetal growth restriction(FGR),7 cases of therapeutic abortion and 15 cases of premature labor;and the corresponding numbers in the inactive group were 1,5,1 and 4, respectively. All the numbers were significantly different between the two groups(P
