ABSTRACT

Zixue san is a preparation in Chinese Pharmacopoeia ,and is a commonly used representative formula in Liangkai formulation. In the previous editions of Chinese Pharmacopoeia ,for the item of the formulation and preparation method of Zixue san,“mirabilite”“mirabilite(prepare)”“Xuanming powder ”and other different descriptions have been repeatedly modified and amended;the methods of preparation of mirabilite in the processing specifications of different provinces and cities are also different, causing effects in actual production. Therefore ,the author has researched the historical evolution of Zixue ,the formulation and preparation method of Zixue san in the previous editions of Chinese P harmacopoeia, and has expounded the change process of mirabilite, mirabilite(prepare),Xuanming powder in the item of formulation and preparation method of Zixue san. In addition ,the author compares Chinese Pharmacopoeia with the processing methods of mirabilite in the national and provincial processing specifications ,in order to provide a basis for the processing of mirabilite in the formulation of Zixue san.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the expression of phosphorylated protein kinase B1 (pAkt1) and human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) in ovarian epithelial carcinoma (EOC) and its relationship with prognosis, and to analyze the correlation between pAkt1 and hTERT expression. Methods 92 patients with EOC in Tangshan Gongren Hospital from January 2012 to December 2016 were selected. The expressions of hTERT and pAkt1 proteins were detected by immunohistochemistry. The relationship between the expressions of pAkt1 and hTERT proteins and their relationship with clinical prognosis were analyzed. Results Of the 92 patients with EOC, 68 cases (73.9 %) had positive expression of pAkt and 52 cases (56.5 %) had positive expression of hTERT. There was no significant correlation between expressions of pAkt1 and hTERT proteins in EOC (r= 0.284, P= 0.633). The expressions of pAkt1 and hTERT proteins were not related with age, tumor pathology type and the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) staging (all P> 0.05), but had significant association with tumor pathology differentiation (χ2= 2.694, P= 0.005; χ2=2.284, P=0.018). The disease-free survival of patients with both pAkt1 and hTERT positive was shorter than that of the other groups (P= 0.013). Conclusion The prognosis of EOC patients with high expression of pAkt1 and hTERT proteins is poor.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the relationship of nerve growth factor (NGF) between serum and follicular fluid in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and its effect on pregnancy outcomes. Methods From December 2011 to November 2012, 65 PCOS patients suffered with in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) were included in PCOS group and 31 non-PCOS patients with IVF-ET were used as control group. The expressions of NGF in serum and follicular fluid were detected by ELISA on the injection day of chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). The expression levels of NGF in serum and follicular fluid were compared between PCOS group and control group. Results The NGF levels in serum[(14.38±0.42) ng/L] and follicular fluid[(9.61±0.49)ng/L] were significantly higher in PCOS group than those of control group[(11.39±0.38) ng/L and (7.55 ± 0.40)ng/L]. In PCOS group, NGF levels in serum [(14.22 ± 0.35)ng/L] and follicular fluid [(9.30 ± 0.31)ng/L] were significantly lower in pregnant group than those of non-pregnant group[(14.51±0.43)ng/L, (9.86±0.46)ng/L, P<0.01]. Conclusion The increased levels of NGF in serum and follicular fluid of PCOS patients contribute to the pathogenesis of PCOS. The high expression of NGF in serum and follicular fluid may be harmful to pregnancy in PCOS patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of prenatal ultrasound for fetal structural abnormalities. Methods The clinical data of 3 101 fetus with structural malformations, diagnosed by prenatal ultrasound and confi rmed after induced labor, and 856 cases of missed diagnosis were analyzed. All these data were collected in Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Tangshan City from January 2010 to June 2014. The types and number of fetal structural abnormalities were recorded. The rates of detection and missed diagnosis for the fetal structural abnormalities were calculated and the reasons for missed diagnosis were analyzed.ResultsA total of 3101 cases (4 171 positions) were diagnosed as fetal structural abnormalities by prenatal ultrasound. The detection rate was 11.51‰ (3 101/269 501). There were 856 cases (947 positions) of fetal structural abnormalities were missed, and the missed diagnosis rate was 3.18‰ (856/269 501). The incidence of fetal structural abmormalities was 14.68‰ (3 957/269 501). In terms of anatomy systems, the top five were cardiovascular system abnormalities (851 cases), the central nervous system abnormalities (691 cases), facial abnormalities (562 cases), urinary system abnormalities (476 cases), and respiratory system abnormalities (134 cases). In terms of single abnormalities, the top five were cleft lip and palate (549 cases), ventricular septal defect (519 cases), hydronephrosis (331 cases), spina bifi da (212 cases), and atrial-ventricular septal defect (163 cases). The top five of missed deformities were polydactylia/symphysodactylia (285 cases), ear deformities (108 cases), hypospadias (93 cases), foot abnormalities (92cases), and ventricular septal defect (52 cases). Conclusions There is a high detection rate for fetal structural abnormalities with prenatal ultrasound. Prenatal ultrasound is an indispensable means for the diagnosis of fetal malformation, but it also has some limitations. There is a high rate of missed diagnosis for polydactylia/symphysodactylia, microtia, and hypospadias.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the degradation of Rhizoma Typhonii polysaccharide with sulfuric acid under the normal and ultrasonic condition. Methods The orthogonal test table L9(34) was used to optimize 4 factors including acid concentration, reaction time, reaction temperature and ultrasonic power, with the yield of the low-molecular-weight polysaccharide as the index. Results The optimal conditions of discomposing Rhizoma Typhonii polysaccharide with sulfuric acid were 10% sulfuric acid, 100 ℃ for 2 h under the normal condition, and the yield of low-molecular-weight polysaccharide was 36.17%. Under the ultrasonic condition, the optimal conditions were 150 W of the ultrasonic power, 5% sulfuric acid, 40 ℃ for 1 h, and the yield was 44.63%. Conclusion The degrading yield of the low-molecular-weight polysaccharide can be increased under ultrasonic condition with sulfuric acid.
