ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To understand the current status of research on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) human resources, and to provide a reference for expanding research ideas on TCM human resources and promoting the construction of TCM talents. METHODS From January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2022, literature related to TCM human resources was collected from the three major databases of CNKI, Wanfang and VIP. Using CiteSpace 5.8 R3 software, visualization analysis was performed for the literature in terms of publication time, journal sources, authors, institutions and areas, funding, research content, keywords, etc. RESULTS A total of 324 literature related to TCM human resources in China were included, and the number of literature issued showed an upward trend, with an annual average of 14.09 literature; 161 kinds of journals were involved, core journals accounted for 18.21% of the total publication volume; a total of 23 authors had published 2 or more literature, with a total of 55 literature published (16.98%); a total of 416 institutions were involved, mainly schools (66.83%); 60.49% of the literature were supported by the fund. The majorities of 324 literature were survey studies (170 literature), and most of them used self-designed questionnaires (55 literature); the high-frequency keywords included talent training, human resources, TCM, etc. The keywords were clustered into 7 categories, such as “human resources“”talent training“”TCM industry“”TCM services“”talent training models” “fairness” and “TCM talents”. The main problems described in the literature included insufficient talent, lack of reasonable distribution of regional structure, lack of reasonable plans for talent training, and insufficient professional knowledge and abilities. Continuously cultivating high-level talents and improving employment conditions in areas with severe human resource loss were the corresponding countermeasures proposed in the literature. CONCLUSIONS The research on TCM human resources starts late but has developed rapidly overall, and the quality of research needs to be improved; the structure of research team is single and unevenly distributed geographically; there is a structural imbalance in the allocation of human resources, as well as problems such as a shortage of professional talents, low levels of education and training and incomplete development systems.

ABSTRACT

【Objective】 To compare the histological characteristics of porcine pancreatic elastase (PPE) induced abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) and angiotensin Ⅱ (AngⅡ) induced AAA in mice. 【Methods】 In the PPE group, the mouse abdominal aorta segment from the infrarenal abdominal aorta to the iliac artery was isolated and its branch arteries were ligated to avoid leakage during PPE perfusion. We perfused the isolated aorta segment with a PPE solution at a concentration of 1.5 U/mL for 5 min and then closed the abdominal cavity. The diameter of the abdominal aorta was measured before and 14 days after the surgery, and the perfusion segment of the arteries was collected at day 14 after the surgery. The histological characteristics of the aneurysm were analyzed and graded by histological and immunohistochemical methods. In the AngⅡ group, ten apolipoprotein E knockout mice were prepared, and AngⅡ [1 000 ng/(kg·min)] was infused with osmotic pumps for 28 days. The aorta was separated and the aneurysm aorta segment was analyzed. The wild type mice were used as normal health controls. 【Results】 In the PPE group, the diameter of the PPE perfused aorta segments increased and was significantly larger than the basal diameter [(0.52±0.02) mm vs. (1.23±0.11) mm] at day 14 after surgery. All the ten mice developed AAA after PPE application. The histological results showed typical pathological features of AAA in PPE perfused mice, such as elastic fiber breakage, smooth muscle exhaustion, and increased inflammation. Six of the ten mice developed aneurysms after AngⅡ infusion (6/10). The aneurysms/dilatations were mostly in the suprarenal abdominal aorta, but also in the thoracic aorta and aortic arch. The histology analysis showed that the formation of arterial dissection was common after AngⅡ infusion, and the typical vascular “false lumen” was found. The breakage of elastic fibers, the exhaustion of smooth muscle damage, and the inflammatory response were not as typical as the PPE model in AngⅡ perfused animals. 【Conclusion】 The histological characteristics of PPE induced AAA are very typical and well present the inflammatory process in the development of aneurysm. The AngⅡ model is suitable for the study of aneurysms combined with aortic dissection. Both models have their own advantages and can complement each other.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore the effect of transthoracic color Doppler echocardiography on evaluating myocardial impact injury caused by eccentric aortic regurgitation (AR). Methods: Transthoracic color Doppler echocardiographic imaging data were collected in 26 cases with local deformation of some part of the ventricular septum or left ventricular free wall rammed by moderate and above eccentric AR, and the morphological characteristics of ventricular wall impact injury were analyzed. Results: Myocardial impact injury caused by eccentric AR located at the basal-mid segment of ventricular septum or left ventricular wall (26/26, 100%). Both inferoseptal and inferior wall were impacted in 4 cases (4/26, 15.38%), only inferior wall were impacted in 5 cases (5/26,19.23%), both inferior and inferolateral wall in 13 cases (13/26, 50.00%), inferolateral wall in 2 cases (2/26, 7.69%), while inferoseptal, inferior and inferolateral wall all were impacted in 2 cases (2/26, 7.69%).No anterolateral, anterior nor anteroseptal wall was impacted. Local dilatation was observed at the impacted wall in all cases (26/26, 100%). Severe hypokinesia was detected in 6 cases(6/26, 23.08%), mild hypokinesia in 10 cases(10/26, 38.46%),while normal motion was observed in the rest 10 cases(10/26, 38.46%). In addition to local wall dilatation and hypokinesia, myocardial fibrosis could be observed from LGE images in one case. Local perfusion and metabolism decreased on radionuclide perfusion images in severe cases, but not in mild cases. Conclusion: Moderate and above eccentric AR can cause damage to some part of the wall impacted directly by the eccentric aortic regurgitation, and the location and extent of damage can be evaluated using color Doppler echocardiography.

ABSTRACT

Objective To find out the change of bone density in premenopausal women with systemic scleroderma (SSc) and its association with gluecorticosteroid. Methods Using a clinical bone densitometer manufactured by British McCue CuBA Cobroadband ultrasound attenuation (BUA) and velocity of sound (VOS) were measured at the left heel bone in 58 premenopausal patients with systemic scleroderma.Among them,35 patients had taken gluecorticosteroid, and the other 23 had not.Levels of serum estradiol (E 2) in 19 out of 58 patients with systemic scleroderma were determined and compared with healthy controls. Results Levels of broadband ultrasound attenuation and velocity of sound measured in permenopausal patients with systemic scleroderma who had taken gluecorticosteroid were significantly lower than those in ones who had not taken gluecorticoseroid ( P 0 05).Conclusion The bone mineral density and the level of BUA and VOS in premenopausal patients with systemic scleroderma, who had taken gluecorticosteroid, are obviously decreased, but there is no significant difference between patients without taking gluecorticosteroid and healthy controls. It indicates that systemic scleroderma is no dangerous factor of osteoporosis. And bone density in premenopausal patients with systemic scleroderma is related with the patients who have taken gluecorticosteroid for a long time.
