ABSTRACT

Tumor aerobic glycolysis is one of the main features of tumor metabolic reprogramming. This abnormal glycolytic metabolism provides bioenergy and biomaterials for tumor growth and proliferation. It is worth noting that aerobic glycolysis will not only provide biological materials and energy for tumor cells, but also help tumor cells to escape immune surveillance through regulation of immune microenvironment, thereby resisting tumor immunotherapy and promoting tumor progression. Based on the pathogenesis of renal cell carcinoma, this paper describes the characteristics of aerobic glycolysis, the effect of glycolytic metabolism on the immune microenvironment of renal cell carcinoma, the effect of glycolysis inhibitors on the immune microenvironment of renal cell carcinoma, and the prospect of glycolysis inhibitors combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors in the treatment of renal cell carcinoma.

ABSTRACT

The main clinical features of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) are obsessions and/or compulsions. Due to its symptoms are heterogeneous and have a wide range of influences, OCD usually causes different degrees of damage to patients' social functions. Social cognition is the process of perceiving and judging the psychology and behavior of others or oneself. Its core is to understand the information processing process and the underlying mechanism of social psychological phenomena. Studies have shown that social cognitive deficits can affect an individual's social function. Therefore, many scholars believe that the social cognitive function of OCD patients are impaired. Through collecting and sorting out relevant literature, we find that OCD patients can’t perceive social cues accurately, and they have trouble recognizing their own emotions and those of others. In general, they are not prone to emotional response, that is, their ability of emotional experience is impaired, while because of their own emotional regulation dysfunction, they overreact to special events that can induce the obsession and/or compulsion. The patients have poor insight into the mental states of others. The researches on attributions of life events are dificient, so their characteristics of attribution styles are not yet clear. These findings provide a preliminary theoretical basis and reference for the specificity of social cognitive impairment in patients with OCD and for guiding clinical effective and precise intervention.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the effect of different schemes of intrauterine insemination (IUI) on pregnancy outcome in patients with unexplained infertility. Methods:The clinical data of 393 cases (934 cycles) with unexplained infertility patients who underwent IUI from March 2016 to August 2018 in Dalian Maternal and Child Health Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into natural cycle group (402 cycles) and promote ovulation cycle group (532 cycles). In promote ovulation cycle group, the patients were divided into clomiphene (CC) subgroup (124 cycles), letrozole (LE) subgroup (107 cycles), menotropins (HMG) subgroup (87 cycles), CC + HMG subgroup (103 cycles), LE + HMG subgroup (111 cycles). The pregnancy outcomes of each group were compared. Results:The clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate in promote ovulation cycle group were significantly higher than those in natural cycle group: 14.10% (75/532) vs. 9.20% (37/402) and 11.28% (60/532) vs. 7.21% (29/402), and there were statistical differences ( P<0.05). There were no statistical differences in abortion rate, ectopic pregnancy rate and twin pregnancy rate between 2 groups ( P<0.05). Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome occurred in 7 cycles, all of which were in CC + HMG subgroup. The clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate in LE subgroup, HMG subgroup, CC + HMG subgroup and LE + HMG subgroup were significantly higher than those in CC subgroup: 11.21% (12/107), 13.79% (12/87), 16.50% (17/103), 21.62% (24/111) vs. 8.06% (10/124) and 7.48% (8/107), 11.49% (10/87), 13.59% (14/103) and 20.72% (23/111) vs. 4.03% (5/124), the abortion rate was significantly lower than that in CC subgroup: 3/12, 1/12, 2/17 and 1/24 vs. 5/10; the clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate in HMG subgroup, CC + HMG subgroup and LE + HMG subgroup were significantly higher than those in LE subgroup, the abortion rate was significantly lower than that in LE subgroup, and there were statistical differences ( P<0.05). Conclusions:When the patients with unexplained infertility are assisted by IUI, LE combined with HMG ovulation induction can achieve a better pregnancy outcome.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To establish a high performance liquid chromatography-tandem triple quadrupole mass spectrometry method for the detection of human plasma paraquat concentration. @*Methods@#The plasma samples were pretreated with methanol to precipitate plasma protein, and then were separated by a Waters XBridge BEH HILIC column (2.5 μm, 2.1 mm × 100 mm) with acetonitrile-water containing 200 mmol/L of ammonium formate and 0.1% of formic acid as mobile phase and 0.4 mL/min of flow rate. The paraquat was monitored by ESI positive ion mode, multi-reaction ion monitoring (MRM) scanning, and m/z 186.1-171.1 as quantitative transition ion-pair. The plasma paraquat concentrations in patients were determined by the established method, and the clinical values of plasma paraquat concentration and severity index of paraquat poisoning (SIPP) were evaluated by the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. @*Results@#When the plasma paraquat concentration ranged from 50 to 10 000 ng/mL, the linearity was good (R 2 =0.997), and the lower limit of quantification was 50 ng/mL. The recovery rates and imprecisions of three quality control products at low (100 ng/mL), medium (2 000 ng/mL) and high (8 000 ng/mL) concentration levels all met the requirements, and no matrix effect was found. The pretreated samples were stable at room temperature for 6 hours, and the results were not affected by repeated freezing and thawing for 3 times. The SIPP of 31 poisoned patients was 17.76 (0.30-90.91) h·mg/L. The SIPP in dying patients was significantly higher than that in survival patients (P<0.05). The area under the ROC curve of SIPP was 0.889, and the optimal cut-off value was 11.679 h·mg/L. @*Conclusion@#The established method is sensitive, accurate, rapid and specific, and suitable for the detection of plasma paraquat concentration in patients.

ABSTRACT

Bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) are a kind of stem cells with multiple differentiation potential in bone marrow.BMSCs have been widely used in tissue engineering, cell transplantation, gene therapy and organ transplantation, due to their characteristics of wide range of sources, weak immunogenicity weak, easily transfected by exogenous gene, long survival time in the host,multi-directional differentiation, etc.Cerebral ischemia is caused by neurological impairment, which is the most common cause of death and quality-of-life impairments. The clinical manifestations of the patients with cerebral ischemia are motor function failure, sensory dysfunction and abnormal mental consciousness.A large number of studies have reported that BMSCs transplantation has the therapeutic effects of body sensory and motor function recovery, and can treat ischemic stroke.BMSCs transplantation has brought new hope for the clinical treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular disease. In this paper, the recent progress in the study of BMSCs transplantation for ischemic stroke was reviewed. The mechanism, pathways, influencing factors and clinical application of BMSCs transplantation were summarized.
