ABSTRACT

The formation of thrombus is closely related to vascular endothelial cells, and plays an important role in the course of the acute vascular occlusion occurring after the implantation of coronary stent. Coronary stent implantation, being as an allograft material in vivo, may affect the structure of vascular endothelial function, and lead to the acute complications of vascular occlusion. At present, there are many treatment methods which can improve the biocompatibility of stents in varying degrees, and can reduce its stimulation of vascular endothelial cells. Biodegradable stent has become the focus of attention and research, and may support the future direction of stent's development.

ABSTRACT

Global minimum essential requirements in medical education(GMER) was established by the Institute for Intemational Medical Education(IIME),which consisted of members from all over the world, the GMER should be reached by all of the graduates. This paper analyzes the importance and possibilities that the university of the extrovert type ushers in the international medical education standard, and according to actual work, put forward some suggestions.

ABSTRACT

To set up a method of amplification for the whole CagA gene of Helicobacter pylori and its fingerprinting by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP), nested PCR was employed in combination with TD-PCR to amplify the gene and EcoRI and Hind III were used to generate the RFLP fingerprinting. Target DNA fragments from 13 of 20 samples were successfully amplified and the relevant RFLP fingerprintings were obtained. It is concluded that the method can be used to amplify the whole CagA gene and CagA gene has apparent diversity of RFLP profile.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish the base of molecular system-theory on medicinal plants of Angelica L.and to offer molecular gists for finding the efficacy difference of them. Methods The PCR technique was utilized together with the clone technique to get the ITS gene and measure its genic sequence.Statistical analyzing and branch analyzing were carried out by Phylip software and genetic distance difference in every kinds can be calculated with MEGA3.Results ITS1-5.8 S-ITS2,belongs to one of medicinal plants of Angelica L.,its sequence length extents 600 to 629 bp.Subtracting 5.8 S,its length is 165 bp,the length of ITS is 468 bp.The medicinal plants of Angelica L.are divided into two groups by dendrogram. The genetic distance of A.sinensis from Gansu Province is obviously different from the other medicinal plants of Angelica L.,but the distance difference compared with Levisicum officinale is smaller. Conclusion It suggests that the above result be identical to the efficacy of medicinal plants of Angelica L.It may be an important reason of explaining why the efficacy between A.sinensis and other medicinal plants of Angelica L.is so different.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the anti-apoptosis mechanism of serum containing Xin Mai Tong decoction in myocardial cell under oxidative stress. Methods The neonate rat myocardial cell was cultivated and the model of myocardial cell apoptosis was induced with 400 ? mol/L H2O2.The cell viability was determined by MTT method, myocardial cell apoptosis was determined by TUNEL method, and the intra-cellular expression of HSP70,NF-? B and caspase-3 in myocardial cell was determined by immunocytochemistry. Results Administration of 400 ? mol/L H2O2 for 1 hour was harmless to myocardial cell, the expression of HSP70 being slightly increased. However, apoptosis was induced in myocardial cells at the 6 th hour after 400? mol/L H2O2 administration. The serum containing Xin Mai Tong significantly attenuated the decrease of cell viability and apoptosis which was induced by oxidative stress.Increased expression of HSP70 was induced by the serum containing Xin Mai Tong, and the activation of NF-? B and caspase-3 were significantly inhibited.Conclution The serum containing Xin Mai Tong decoction shows a significant inhibitory effect on apoptosis induced by H2O2,and the mechanism may be through increasing protein expression of HSP70,inhibiting the activation of NF-? B and decreasing the expression of caspase-3.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture on the infracted area and apoptosis of rats with brain contusion. Methods Feeney's method was used to establish brain contusion model. The 40 rats were randomized into sham-operation,model,acupuncture and naloxone (NX) group with 10 in each.Acupuncture was performed for the rats of acupuncture group and NX was injected intraperitoneally for the rats of NX group. The treatment was done once everyday,7 days altogether. Then the brain histotomy was prepared after all the treatment finished.Computer image analysis system was used to detect the infracted area.TUNEL method was adopted to detect the apoptosis. Results The brain contusion in the model group was severe, there were lots of apoptotic cells and the infracted areas were bigger than the injured areas (P0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture can decrease the infracted areas and apoptosis of the rats with brain contusion, being effective in anti-secondary brain injuries.

ABSTRACT

The effect of free radicals and the mechanism of cell damage in the patho-logical process of endotoxin DIC was studied to elucidate the relationship between freeradicals reaction and erythrocyte membrane injury in DIC induced by endotoxin. Molecu-lar biomechanics, biomembrane chemistry were applied to rabbits in this work. Resultsshowed that there was a significant increase both in RBC membrane lipid peroxides level(0. 285?0. 063, P

ABSTRACT

In order to understand the change of free radicals in the pathological process of endotoxin DIC, the level of serum lipid peroxides (LPO) and the activity of erythrocyte superoxide dismutase (SOD) were determined by thiobarbituric acid method and pyrogallol method in disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) rabbits induced by endotoxin. Results showed that there was a significant increase (P
