ABSTRACT

Objective@#To explore the influence of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) course based on International Technical Guidance onthe sexual psychological health of middle school students during puberty, and to provide a reference for mental health promotion.@*Methods@#This study used Adolescent Sexual Psychological Health Questionnaire as measuring tool and self-made textbook on sexuality education entitled Love and Life: Junior High School Students’ Sexual Health Education Textbook as intervention. Measurements were set before and after the first semester together with the end of the second semester, respectively were pretest, intermediate test and posttest.@*Results@#The sexual psychological health of middle school students was in the medium level, and girls(3.51±0.40) were generally better than boys(3.44±0.37)(t=3.62, P<0.05). According to one-way analysis of variance, the main effect of three dimensions of sexual health-sexual cognition(3.31±0.81, 3.68±0.80, 4.37±0.61), sexual values(3.43±0.51, 3.55±0.54, 3.85±0.58) and sexual adaptation(3.63±0.41, 3.85±0.49, 4.09±0.58) and the total score(3.51±0.39, 3.74±0.46, 4.10±0.47) before, during and after the acceptance of comprehensive sexuality education was significant(F=252.18, 281.68, 113.54, 114.60, P<0.05).@*Conclusion@#Comprehensive sexuality education course has a significant effect on improving sexual psychological health among junior high school students.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the value of baseline levels of aldosterone(ALD)in predicting the cardiovascular events and in-stent restenosis12 months after coronary stent implantation. Methods 268 patients with coronary heart disease admitted to the department of cardiology from January 2014 to July 2016 were selected (96 cases of stable angina pectoris and 172 cases of acute coronary syndrome). The ALD level in the preprocedural serum was detected before coronary stent implantation. According to the level of ALD,the patients were divided into two groups:ALD<130 pg/mL(n=127)and ALD≥130 pg/mL(n=141).The cardiovascular events(angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, death)and in-stent restenosis were observed and recorded 12 months after the procedures. Logistic regression analysis was done to analyze the independent risk factors of ISR. Results The baseline levels of ALD in the patients with acute coronary syndrome were significantly higher than those with stable angina pectoris[(160 ± 58)pg/mL vs.(118 ± 46)pg/mL,P < 0.05]. The cardiovascular events and those in in-stent restenosis in the patients with high baseline levels of ALD were significantly higher than those with normal baseline levels of ALD 12 months too(24.1% vs 3.1%;P<0.05;16% vs 7.4%;P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that serum ALD levels were the strongest predictors of ISR,with the odds ratio of 2.56 per 10 pg/mL. Conclusions Preprocedural ALD level is a predictor for 12 months outcome of in-stent restenosis for the patents undergoing coronary stent implantation. It indicates that the complications and clinical restenosis in 12 months are markedly influenced by the activation of the rennin angiotensin aldostenone system.

ABSTRACT

Objective To get knowledge of the molecular epidemiological characteristics of human derived Brucella isolated in Hohhot, and to provide experimental basis in guiding prevention and treatment of Brucella infection. Methods Twenty-seven Brucella isolates derived from patients in Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolian Medical University from 2013 to 2015 were identified by routine bacteriological methods and molecular methods.Multiple-locus variable number tandem repeats analysis (MLVA-16) was used to detect molecular typing and do cluster analysis.Sixteen virulent genes were detected and analyzed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR).Results Twenty-seven Brucella isolates were identified as Brucella melitensis (B.melitensis) by routine bacteriological methods and PCR.Out of them, six isolates were B.melitensis biovar 1,and twenty-one isolates were B.melitensis biovar 3.MLVA-16 analysis showed that seven genotypes were obtained from nine Brucella isolates, which showed significant difference in variable number of tandem repeats, which suggested that they originated from sporadic outbreak. Moreover, two isolates were clustered into the same clade, which suggested they were epidemiologically correlated and may be derived from the same origin.Sixteen virulent genes were detected in all of the twenty-seven isolates. Conclusions Brucella isolates from patients in Hohhot are mainly B.melitensis biovar 3 and B.melitensis biovar 1,and the distribution profile of multiple virulence genes is similar. Some isolates have showed epidemic correlation, and the epidemic mechanism should be further explored.
