ABSTRACT

A study of 17 cases of MAC FARLAND fracture has permitted the authors to draw certain diagnostic, and follow up conclusions. From this study, we see that the surgical treatment is better than the orthopedic treatment, placing the pin through the epiphyseal cartilage. Increases the risk of misshapen callus, and that follow-up should cover a period extending up to the end of the growth period

ABSTRACT

The authors bring in their experience of a new technique concerning the treatment of the neglected shoulder luxations appertaining to four cases. The technique consists in a meticulous act of free setting of the humeral head of the glenoid, the smooth putting back into place performed in three touches which are: - The filling in of the new glene through the coradoid transplant procedure. - The hanging up of the head by fastening the biceps tendon to the acromion. - And the "keeping in place" of the inferior gleno-humeral ligament. The author discloses his work results and discusses the rank of this "piece of work" in the therapeutic procedures suggested by various authors in similar kinds of lesions

ABSTRACT

This paper presents one case of radius congenital pseudarthosis. Treatment by reducing cubitus length and fibula graft on radius gave a good result. A revue of the literature permits to emphasize the rare occurrence of this lesion [four cases reported] its circumstances and its treatment which hasn't been codified yet. Pedicle graft and electric current are considered the two principle ways of the present research

ABSTRACT

In a study of 28 cases involving a GALEAZZI Fracture or equivalent, the authors point out the relative importance of the arthrography of the wrist amongst the various radiologic explorations possible, and the necessity, in adult cases, of complete surgical treatemeat: that is, repair of all lesions of the triangular ligament of the wrist, the negligence of which can seriously affect the functional prognosis

Treatement of cephalic fractures of the radius, type I and type II, remains controversial. In a series of 8 cases treated by osteosynthesis, the authors point out the advantages of this technique while insisting on active, early physical therapy
