ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To analyze the effective components of Chinese medicine (CM) contained in Chaihu Shugan Powder (, CSP) in the treatment of depressive disorders and to predict its anti-depressant mechanism by network pharmacology.@*METHODS@#Absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity calculation method was used to screen the active components of CSP. Traditional Chinese Medicine System Pharmacological Database Analysis Platform and text mining tool (GoPuMed database) were used to predict and screen the active ingredients of CSP and anti-depressive targets. Through Genetic Association Database, Therapeutic Target Database, and PharmGkb database targets for depression were obtained. Cytoscape3.2.1 software was used to establish a network map of the active ingredients-targets of CSP, and to analyze gene function and metabolic pathways through Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery and the Omicshare database.@*RESULTS@#The 121 active ingredients and 15 depression-related targets which were screened from the database can exert antidepressant effects by improving the neural plasticity, growth, transfer condition and gene expression of neuronal cell, and the raise of the expression of gap junction protein. The 15 targets passed 14 metabolic pathways, mainly involved in the regulation of neurotransmitters (5-hydroxytryptamine, dopamine and epinephrine), inflammatory mediator regulation of TRP channels, calcium signaling pathway, cyclic adenosine monophosphate signaling pathway and neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction and other signal channels to exert anti-depressant effects.@*CONCLUSION@#This article reveals the possible mechanism of CSP in the treatment of depression through network pharmacology research, and lays a foundation for further target studies.

ABSTRACT

With the aging of the world's population, the quality of life of older adults is becoming more important. There are many studies on the use of Tai chi exercise, a popular form of mind-body exercise practiced by older adults. However, the effectiveness of Tai chi exercise on the quality of life of older adults is unclear. For this systematic review and meta-analysis, six databases (PubMed, CENTRAL, CINAHL, EMBASE, Scopus, CNKI) were searched in English and Chinese languages to screen for relevant randomized controlled trials (RCT), and their risk of bias was assessed by two independent reviewers. The results of quality of life, physical component, and psychological component among older adults were meta-analyzed using RevMan5.3 software. The search retrieved 2577 records. After screening, a total of 10 RCTs were included in this evaluation, with a total of 1170 participants. The meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group, Tai chi exercise had a significant impact on the overall quality of life (SMD=1.23; 95%CI: 0.56-1.98; P<0.0001), and on the physical component of quality of life (MD=5.90; 95%CI: 1.05-10.75; P=0.02), but no significant impact on the psychological component of quality of life. This study had high heterogeneity. The results of this study suggest the potential use of Tai chi exercise as an activity for increased quality of life in older adults. Future research may enhance experimental rigor and explore the rationale behind Tai chi exercise.

ABSTRACT

Objective Large sample data of HPV genotyping on anus and anal canal condyloma acuminata (CA) tissue were rarely reported in China. This study is aimed to investigate the clinical value of the distribution of different kinds of genotype of human papillomavirus within regional (mainly in Jiangsu Province)patients of both male and female with anus and anal canal condyloma acuminata(CA).Methods We collected tissue specimens from 326 male and female patients with anus and anal canal condyloma acuminata(CA) from 4 hospitals in Jiangsu and Anhui provinces from August 1985 to July 2017.HPV DNA was extracted and through the combination of gene chip and polymerase chain reaction technology,23 genotypes of HPV were detected. Results Among 179 male cases,136 were found with HPV.The total HPV detection rate was 75.98%(136/179),and of which, single genotype detection rate was 55.31% (99/179) while multiple genotypes detection rate was 20.67% (37/179).Meanwhile,in the 147 female cases,108 cases with HPV represented the total HPV detection rate of 73.47% (108/147),of which single genotype detection rate was 48.79% (72/147) and multiple genotypes detection rate was 24.49% (36/147).342 were detected for all the genotype frequency totally and the low-risk HPV genotype was appered for 267 times while 75 times for high-risk HPV in this term.Among all the genotypes,6,11,16,18 took the top 4 respectively. Conclusion Among the regional (mainly in Jiangsu Province) male and female cases with anus and anal canal (CA),HPV 6,11,16,18 were the most common types.HPV was mostly distributed in the population of male younger than 30 years old.
