ABSTRACT
La ortodoncia y la ortopedia actual no sólo se limitan a la valoración estática del sistema dental, sino también al estudio de la unidad funcional global del sistema masticatorio. Así el análisis funcional constituye en la actualidad un segmento esencial de la exploración clínica. Este tipo de estudio resulta decisivo para valorar la etiología de las anomalías, y también establecer los diferentes métodos del tratamiento.
Orthodontics and orthopedics present not only limited to static evaluation of dental system, but also to the study of the global functional unit of the masticatory system. So the functional analysis is now an essential segment of the clinical examination. This type of study is crucial to assess the etiology of abnormalities, and also set the different methods of treatment.
