ABSTRACT
Este artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre a importância do reconhecimento e da prática dos valores do pluralismo cultural e da tolerância no âmbito da bioética e da assistência à saúde, valores que delineiam os contornos de um modo de pensar a bioética e de enfrentar os casos concretos. O que se entende quando se fala em pluralismo e tolerância, contudo, deve ser esclarecido, razão pela qual inicialmente se busca resgatar tais noções.
The objective of this article is to reflect about the importance of the recognition and practice of pluralism and tolerance in bioethics and in health assistance. These values draw the lines of a way to think bioethics and to deal with particular cases. However, when we talk about pluralism and tolerance, it is important to recover these notions so that we can elucidate what we intend to say.
