ABSTRACT

Objective:To develop health-related physical fitness measurement scale and assess its reliability and validity among older adults. Methods:The health-related physical fitness measurement scale was developed through Delphi method and field investigation method. And the authority coefficient, Kendall's coefficient and variation coefficient were analyzed.A multi-stage random sampling technique was adopted to select 410 older adults to investigate the reliability and validity of health-related physical fitness measurement scale with test-retest reliability, Cronbach's α coefficient and Guttman Split-Half coefficient and structural validity by IBM SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 22.0.Results:The health-related physical fitness measurement scale consisted of 3 dimensions (organic function, motor function, physical adaptive capacity) and 15 indexes. The Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.84.The Spearman-Brown correlation coefficient and Guttman Split-Half coefficient were both 0.82.The test-retest reliability between the first measurement and retest after 1 week was 0.84.Three factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis, which were basically consistent with the theoretical concept of the scale, but the items of the theoretical conception were different from the actual ones.Confirmatory factor analysis based on the theoretical conception showed that all the indexes met the requirements of reference value as well(χ 2/ df=2.38, GFI=0.94, AGFI=0.91, CFI=0.92, TLI=0.91, TFI=0.92, RMSEA=0.06). Conclusion:The health-related physical fitness measurement scale has good reliability and validity in measuring the health fitness level of the elderly population in Guangzhou.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the effect of fibrinogenase combined with aspirin on blood viscosity and clinical efficacy in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods:Senventy patients with mild to moderate acute cerebral infarction from October 2016 to June 2020 were collected from the Third People′s Hospital of Dalian. Patients were divided into control group and treatment group according to the random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was given oral aspirin plus an intravenous drip of normal saline equal to the treatment group, while the treatment group was given aspirin plus fibrinogenase by intravenous drip. Both groups were given symptomatic treatment such as management of blood glucose, blood pressure, arteriosclerosis plaque stabilization and improvement of circulation for 10 d. Blood viscosity and neurological deficit score were measured before and after treatment. Results:Compared with baseline values, WBV showed a slight decrease in all shear rates in the control group after treatment compared with that before treatment, but the difference was not statistically significant ( P>0.05). In the treatment group, all shear rates decreased compared with that before treatment ( P<0.05), and the effect of WBV was significant compared with that of the control group ( P<0.05). The improvement of neurological function in the treatment group was better than that in the control group. The significant efficiency and the total effective rate in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group: 34.3% (12/35) vs. 25.7% (9/35), 88.6% (31/35) vs.71.4% (25/35). Conclusions:Fibrinogenase combined with aspirin in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction patients can safely and effectively reduce blood viscosity and improve clinical symptoms.

ABSTRACT

Peritoneal adhesion (PA) is a high morbidity complication after surgical procedures, with serious clinical consequences and requiring substantial medical expenditure. The pathogenesis of PA is complex and is still not very clear. Clinically, it is mainly treated by optimizing surgical protocols, using anti-adhesion drugs and biomaterial barriers. Although these methods have shown certain preventive effects, the effectiveness needs to be further improved. Elucidating the mechanism of PA formation is the basis and premise for preventing its occurrence. In the process of PA formation, a variety of inflammatory cells, inflammatory factors play important roles. In this paper, the mechanism of inflammation and immunoregulatory responses in the formation of adhesions in the peritoneal cavity was reviewed, in order to provide a reference for the improvement of PA prevention strategies.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigate the expression of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (11β-HSD) in polyps of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and its correlation with glucocorticoid sensitivity.@*Methods@#The prospective study method was applied. Forty-three adult CRSwNP patients from Otorhinolaryngology Hospital, First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University between April 2016 and June 2017 were enrolled in this study. There were 19 males and 24 females with the age of (37.44±7.42) years old. The endoscopic scores by nasal Polyps Grading System before and after one-week prednisone treatment (0.5 mg/(kg·d)) were evaluated. The response of glucocorticoid by the total endoscopic scores was estimated. According to the patient′s reduced nasal polyp endoscopic score, patients were devided into nasal polyps insensitive to glucocorticoids treatment group (insensitive group) and nasal polyp sensitive to glucocorticoids treatment group (sensitive group). The expression of 11β-HSD1, 11β-HSD2 in nasal polyps were measured by Real-time PCR (RT-PCR), Western Blot and immunohistochemisty. According to the clinical data, the Logistic regression models and receiver operation characteristics (ROC) curves were used to explore the predictor for glucocorticoid response in CRSwNP.@*Results@#The expression of 11β-HSD1 and 11β-HSD1/11β-HSD2 was higher in sensitive group than that of insensitive group, while the expression of 11β-HSD2 was lower (rank average was 26.08 vs 16.33, 27.24 vs 14.72, 18.66 vs 26.64, Z value was -2.511, 0.323, -2.059, respectively, all P<0.05). The endoscopic scores in CRSwNP group declined whereas the expression of 11β-HSD1/11β-HSD2 increased (r=0.528, P=0.001), while the cutoff value of the ratio of 11β-HSD1/11β-HSD2 was 2.290 (sensitivity was 79.17%, specificity was 88.89%).@*Conclusions@#There is a positive correlation between the response of glucocorticoid and the ratio of 11β-HSD1/11β-HSD2, which could be used as a marker in predicting the level of tissue response to glucocorticoid therapy in CRSwNP.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the factors associated with the rehabilitation outcome of lower limbs training with MOTOmed, such as the height and distance of seats, the crank length and the speed, as well as the height of patients. Methods The human lower limb model was simplified into a model of the bars. The activity of knee was as a dependent variable, and the individual body height, distance (S) and height (H) of seats, the crank length (L1) and speed (ω1 ) were as the independent variables, and analysed with control variate method and MAT-LAB simulation analysis. Results Controlling the individual body height, all the other factors influenced the knee joint angle, angular veloci-ty and angular acceleration value (initial or the end value). Among these factors, L1 impacted the mobility mostly, and less as S and H; ω1 mainly impacted the angular velocity and acceleration. Controlling the other factors as S=550 mm, H=165 mm, L1=180 mm, ω1=10 r/s, the higher the body height would be, the less the knee joint activities, angular velocity and angular acceleration are. Conclusion It is necessary to adjust the height and distance of seats, crank length and the speed to meet the individual body height when training with MOTOmed for lower limbs rehabilitation.
