ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the clinical curative effect and safety of intra -abdominal beacizumab bead sheet resistance combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy in treatment of ovarian cancer perito-neal effusion. Methods 60 patients with ovarian cancer peritoneal effusion in Binzhou Central Hospital from June 2012 to July 2015 were randomly divided into two groups.30 cases in the control group were treated with intraperito-neal hyperthermic perfusion chemotherapy, while 30 patients in the observation group were given intra-abdominal beacizumab bead sheet resistance combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy. The short-term effica-cy,toxicity and quality of life were compared. Results The effective rate of the observation group was 73.33%, which was significantly higher than 53.33% in the control group, the difference was significant (χ2 =8.55,P0 .0 5 ) .The improvement rate of life quality of the observation group was 76.67%,which was significantly higher than 50.00%of the control group, the difference was significant (χ2 =8.06,9.31,all P<0.05).Conclusion Intra-abdominal beacizumab bead sheet resistance combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy has remarkable curative effect in treatment of ovarian cancer peritoneal effusion, with high safety, and can significantly improve the quality of life of patients, that is suitable for clinical application.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the influence of pre-chemotherapy hemoglobin and platelet levels on the effect of chemotherapy and prognostic outcome in patients with endometrial carcinoma (EC).Methods 104 patients with EC who underwent surgical treatment following neoadjuvant chemotherapy were retrospectively analyzed.Multiple logistic regression was carried out to evaluate the relationship between the probability of achieving an optimal clinical response and the variables. The log-rank test was used to compare the homogeneity of progression-free survival and overall survival functions across strata defined by categories of prognostic variables. Results The Cox proportional hazard model was used to assess the significance of potential prognostic factors for progression-free survival and overall survival.Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that FIGO staging (OR =3.234,95 % CI:1.324-13.454) and lymph node metastasis (OR =8.235,95 % CI:1.563-18.574) were independent factors of influencing effects of new adjuvant chemotherapy in the treatment of EC patients.Multivariate Cox regression model analysis showed that the FIGO staging(HR =4.342,95% CI:1.643-15.856) and lymph node metastasis (HR =3.853,95% CI:1.864-9.675) were independent factors of influencing 5 years survival rate of EC patients received new adjuvant chemotherapy. Conclusion The curative effect and prognosis after receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy operation in treatment of EC patients before chemotherapy, there was no significant correlation between hemoglobin and platelet levels, and lymph node metastasis,FIGO stage.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the mortality, hemodialysis duration and causes of death of maintenance hemodialysis patients in Shanxi province from Jan 2010 to Dec 2012.Methods The information data of Shanxi hemodialysis patients during 2010-2012 were exported from Chinese national renal data system.Mortality, hemodialysis duration and causes of death of maintenance hemodialysis patients were analyzed. Results Mortality of maintenance hemodialysis patients in Shanxi province in 2010 was 7.4%,and it was decreased to 6.4% in 2011 and 6.8% in 2012.Death patients with hemodialysis for less than 2 years accounted for 68.1%,and hemodialysis patients who could be maintained for more than 5 years only accounted for 8.1%.The main causes of mortality were sudden death (23.5%),cerebrovascular events (21.2%),heart failure(12.4%),myocardial infarction/ arrhythmia(6.5%),hemorrhagic disease(5.1%) and infection(4.9%).Conclusions Mortality of maintenance hemodialysis patients in Shanxi province is 6.4% to 7.4%.Cardiovascular and cerebral vascular events are the main causes of death.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effects of Zuogui Jiangtang Yishen decoction (ZGJTYS) on the expression of nephrin and podocin in podocyte of MKR mice with diabetic nephropathy (DN), and explore its mechanism. Methods Forty MKR mice (8 weeks old) were randomly divided into four groups as follows:negative control group (group A), DN model group (group B), ZGJTYS group (group C) and positive control group (group D, Gliquidone and benazepri). All mice from group B, C and D were received high-fat diet feed and unilateral nephrectomy. Four weeks after operation, all mice were received drug intervention, and four weeks later, all mice were put to death. The levels of UmAlb were observed by ELISA, the serum BUN and Cr by biochemical, and the FBG by electrochemical detection method. The nephrin and podocin mRNA expression were measured by RT-PCR and the protein expression by western blotting. The morphological structure changes of the podocytes were observed by transmission electron microscopes. Results As compared with group A, FBG, BUN, SCr and urine UmAlb in the mice of group B increased significantly (P<0.01), the expression level of nephrin and podocin mRNA and protein were markedly decreased (P<0.01). After intervention of drugs, all biochemical indicators above in the mice of group C and D significantly decreased (P<0.01), the expression level of nephrin and podocin mRNA and protein were markedly increased (P<0.01, P<0.05), compared with group B. The renal pathological lesions of group C and D were significantly improved compared with group B. Conclusion ZGJTYS decoction exerts reno-protective effect via reinstating nephrin and podocin expression to repair the damaged podocyte.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the efficiency and safety of aspirin-dipyridamole and warfarin in the prevention of thromboembolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation(NVAF)and high risk factors. Methods One hundred and forty NVAF patients with high risk factors were randomly divided into two groups.Warfarin group[78 cases international normalized ratio(INR)2.0-3.0,for the patients older than 75 years,INR ranging from 1.6 to 2.5]and combination group(62 cases received aspirin 160 mg once every day plus dipyridamole 160 mg 3 times every day). The incidence of death, thromboembolism(including stroke and peripheral arteries embolism)and hemorrhage events were observed. Results Followed-up 12-28 months. In warfarin group,3 cases lost,2 cages had stroke,2 cases suffered from serious bleeding events,6 cases had minor bleeding events. In combination group,2 cases lost,6 cases had stroke, and 2 cases suffered from peripheral arteries embolism events,3 cases had minor bleeding events, but no serious bleeding events occurred. The incidence of thromboembolism in warfarin group wag, lower than that in combination group[2.7%(2/75)vs 13.3%(8/60),P<0.05].There was no significant difference of the bleeding rate between the two groups[10.7%(8/75)vs 5.0%(3/60),P>0.05].Conclusions Warfarin anticoagulative therapy is more effective than aspirin and dipyridamole antiplatelet dual therapy for the prevention of thromboembolism events in patients with NVAF and high risk factors. The major bleeding events in warfarin group occurs in patients with INR>3.0,so under intensive monitoring(INR 2.0-3.0),warfarin therapy is effective and safety.
