ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the nursing methods of senile uremia patients during induction period of hemodialysis. Methods Improved nursing methods have been adopted since March 2010 in our department.68 senile uremia inpatients from Match 2010 to March 2011 were selected as the observation group, while 59 inpatients from March 2009 to February 2010 were reviewed as the control group. The incidence of complications was compared between the two groups. Results There were 3 cases of arrhythmia,5 cases of hypotension and 2 cases of disequilibrium syndrome in the observation group, while 11 cases of arrhythmia,16 cases of hypotension and 8 cases of disequilibrium syndrome in the control group.3 patients of the control group died of severe arrhythmia. There was statistical difference of complication incidence between the two groups. Conclusions Cardiovascular events are the most severe complications for senile uremia patients during induction period of hemodialysis, which can be reduced by scientific and reasonable nursing.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of electroneurophisology in patients with charcot-Ma-rie-Tooth disease(CMT).Methods Electromyogram(EMG),Motor nerve conduction velocity(MCV),Sensory nenre conduction velocity(SCV) and F wave were measured in 31 cases with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease(CMT).Resuits The abnormality rate of EMG was 90%,MCV was 100%,SCV was 90%,and F wave was 34%.Conclu-sion The electroneurophysiology is very practical and valuable in diagnosing Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study clinical manifestations and imagine features (CT and MRI) on toxic encephalopathy after inhaling heroin. Methods 13 patients with toxic encephalopathy induced by inhaling heroin were observed and analyzed on its clinical and imagine features (CT and MRI).Results 13 patients all were male, and were intoxicated by way of inhaling heroin vapour. Nine cases had appearances of clinical manifestations during abrupt abstinence. The main clinical manifestations of the disease were of the sub-acute diffuse cerebral lesions, especially of early mental symptoms and cerebellum ataxia. The CT of all 13 cases showed multiple white matter lesions involving in the frontal, parietal, occipital, temporal, and cerebellum hemisphere dentate nucleus. There was no occupational mass shown in general. The MRI of 6 cases showing focus was the same as of the CT. Conclusion The diagnosis of HTE should be dependent on the definite inhaling heroin vapour and their clinical features and neuroradiological appearance. CT should be valuable for the diagnosis of HTE, and the MRI as well. Corticosteroids show less therapeutic effect on such diesease.
