ABSTRACT
A case of thyroid hemiagenesis in a ten year-old boy is reported. The patient were euthyroid and presented with a solitary thyroid nodule. The diagnosis of thyroid malformation was established by physical examination, scintiscanning and ultrasonic scanning of the thyroid. The guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of the solitary nodule was based on fine-needle aspiration of the nodule; the pathologic diagnosis of the nodule was follicular adenoma. A brief review of this rare entity is presented
