ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE@#To study on the expression and significance of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in the nasus epithelial carcinoma and their signification.@*METHOD@#Fifty cases of epithelial carcinoma tissue and 50 cases of normal nasus tissue were detected for MMP-2 and 9 by immunohistochemistry technique (SP), and analysed their relationships between expression of MMP-and some clinical symptoms.@*RESULT@#The positive ratio of expression of MMP-2 in 50 cases of epithelial carcinoma was 52.0% (26/50), which was significantly higher than those in the normal nasus tissue 28.0% (14/50), P < 0.05. The positive ratio of expression of MMP-9 in 50 cases of epithelial carcinoma was 58.0% (29/50), which was significantly higher than those in the normal nasus tissue 10.0% (5/50), P < 0.05.@*CONCLUSION@#It was suggested that there was a close relationship between pathogenesis and development of nasus epithelial carcinoma and the expression of MMP-2, MMP-9 in the epithelial carcinoma tissues. The positive results of MMP-2, MMP-9 is partly valid for diagnosis of prognosis rate of MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression was high in nasus epithelial carcinoma tissues, MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression levels might be able to provide prognostic information.

@#Objective To investigate the sleep disorder in the stroke inpatients for rehabilitation and research the strategy to improve the sleep disorder.Methods The sleep statuses of 168 stroke inpatients were investigated and recorded.The sleep disorder was set into 4 forms,insomnia,sleep interrupted,over-sleep and sleep reversed.Those with sleep disorder were given certain intervention,including improving the environments,eliminating body discomfort and mental disorder,medicines,and reset the sleep cycle.Their sleep statuses were evaluated again 2 weeks later.Results The incidence of sleep disorder was 60.7%,among which 32.3% for insomnia,22.5% for sleep interrupted,25.5% for over-sleep and 16.7% sleep reversed.It was 32.1% after intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion It is frequent of sleep disorder in stroke patients for rehabilitation.Comprehensive intervention can improve the sleep of them.

Objective To investigate the causes and prevetion of urethral stricture after transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP). Methods A retrospective analysis was carried out in 945 cases,who were treated by TURP in our hospital during February 2002-February 2008.Among the cases,21 patients(aged 62 to 84 years with a mean of 72.4 years) developed urethral stricture in 3 weeks to 24 months after the operation.In the cases,anterior urethral stricture was detected in 13 patients(61.9%),posterior urethral stricture was found in 5(23.8%),and bladder neck contracture was diagnosed in 3(14.3%).Results The pateints were cured by simple urethral dilation(13,61.9%),urethroplasty(2,9.5%),urethroplasty plus urethral dilation(2,9.5%),transurethral resection(1,4.8%),or electroresection of the bladder neck(3,14.3%).The patients were followed up for 6 to 36 months(mean,13 months),during which,all the 21 cases recovered without recurrence.The rate of urethral stricture after TURP was 3.7%(18/483) during February 2002 to August 2005,which was significantly higher than that between September 2005 and February 2008(0.6%,3/462;?2=10.292,P=0.001).Conclusions Unskilled operation and short indwelling time of urethral catheter after the surgery are the major reasons for urethral stricture after TURP.Regular follow-up and early treatment are the keys to cure of the disease.
