ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT The advancement of neuroimaging technology offers a pivotal reference for the early detection of mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a significant area of focus in contemporary cognitive function research. Structural MRI scans present visual and quantitative manifestations of alterations in brain tissue, whereas functional MRI scans depict the metabolic and functional state of brain tissues from diverse perspectives. As various magnetic resonance techniques possess both strengths and constraints, this review examines the methodologies and outcomes of multimodal magnetic resonance technology in MCI diagnosis, laying the groundwork for subsequent diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for MCI.

ABSTRACT

@#Abstract: At present, nucleic acid detection technology based on the PCR principle is commonly used to detect malaria parasites, the existing Plasmodium detection methods mainly include microscopy, antigen immunoassay, and nucleic acid detection, but due to the long detection time, high personnel and equipment requirements, and other shortcomings, its popularization, and application at the grassroots level are limited. What challenges previous Plasmodium detection methods are the lack of experienced professionals and advanced equipment at the grassroots as well as the requirement of rapid detection of large samples under extreme conditions. The isothermal amplification technology developed in recent years has potential application prospects due to its simplicity, rapidity, high sensitivity, and high specificity. This article attempts to review the principles, characteristics, and prospects of various isothermal amplification technologies, and on this basis, focuses on the introduction of recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) and recombinase⁃aided isothermal amplification (RAA) assay technologies and proposes the use of such recombinant enzyme amplification technologies to achieve rapid and accurate diagnosis of common Plasmodium species possibility and imagination.

ABSTRACT

Abstract Purpose: To evaluate the role of CX3CL1 and NF-κB in the lumbar disc herniation induced neuropathic pain. Methods: After LDH induced by implantation of autologous nucleus pulposus (NP) on the left L5 nerve root was established, mechanical thresholds and thermal hyperalgesia were tested at relevant time points during an observation period of 28 days. Expression of CX3CL1 and NF-κBin the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) were performed by using Western blotting and RT-PCR. Results: Implantation of autologous nucleus pulposus (NP) induced neuropathic pain, associated with increased mRNA and protein expression of CX3CL1 in the DRG. Moreover, intrathecal injection of neutralizing antibody against CX3CL1 could attenuates LDH-induced persistent pain hypersensitivity. Interestingly, NF-κB activation in the DRGs were found in LDH-induced neuropathic pain. Furthermore, NF-κB downregulation by p65 inhibitor PDTC markedly alleviated LDH-induced mechanical allodynia and thermal hyperalgesia in rat. Importantly, CX3CL1 neutralizing antibody (10 μg/10 μl, i.t.) reduces p-p65 protein level in DRG Conclusions: CX3XL1 could regulate LDH-induced neuropathic pain through NF-κB pathway. Targeting CX3CL1 and NF-κB may represent a potential treatment for neuropathic pain caused by LDH.
