ABSTRACT

@#To explore the effect of IL-33 on various tumor types, exogenous injection of recombinant mouse IL-33 protein (mIL-33) was used to study the efficacy of different subcutaneous tumor-bearing mouse models. In this study,mIL-33 has been found to significantly inhibit the growth of liver, lung, gastric, prostate, and colon cancers. However, the inhibition of tumor growth by mIL-33 was not completely consistent in different types of tumor. A lower dose of mIL-33 (10 μg/kg) significantly inhibited tumor growth in subcutaneous tumor-bearing mice of liver, lung, and gastric cancers, while a higher dose of mIL-33 (90 μg/kg) was required to exert the corresponding antitumor effect in subcutaneous tumor-bearing mouse models with prostate and colon cancers. In addition, the growth inhibitory effect of mIL-33 on subcutaneous tumors of colon cancer was also correlated with the duration of administration and the stage of tumor progression. The results of this study indicate that mIL-33 significantly inhibits the growth of a variety of tumors, suggesting that IL-33 might be an effective target for tumor treatment.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To study the clinical phenotype and gene mutation analysis of a hereditary abnormal fibrinogenemia family and explore its molecular pathogenesis.@*METHODS@#The STA-R automatic hemagglutination analyzer to detect the proband and its family members (3 generations of 5 people) of prothrombin time(PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), thrombin time (TT), fibrinogen activity (Fg: C), D-dimer (D-D), fibrinogen and fibrin degradation products (FDPs), plasminogen activity (PLG: A); The plasma levels of Fg: C and fibrinogen (Fg: Ag) were measured by Clauss method and immunoturbidimetry respectively. All exons and flanking sequences of FGA, FGB and FGG genes of fibrinogen were amplified by PCR, and the PCR products were purified and sequenced for gene analysis. The model was analyzed by Swiss software.@*RESULTS@#The PT and APTT of the proband, her mother and sister were slightly prolonged, TT was significantly extend, Fg: C decreased significantly, Fg: Ag, PLG: A, D-D and FDPs are within the normal range; Her brother and daughter of the results are normal. Genetic analysis showed that g.7476 G>A heterozygous missense mutation in exon 8 of FGG gene resulted in mutations in arginine at position 275 of fibrinogen gamma D domain to histidine (Arg275His). Her mother and sister have the same Arg275His heterozygous mutation, brother and daughter for the normal wild type.@*CONCLUSION@#The heterozygous missense mutation of FGG gene Arg275His in patients with hereditary dysfibrinogenemia is associated with a decrease in plasma fibrinogen activity.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the application of multiattribute utility theory(MAUT) in pharmacoeco-nomic evaluation of anti - inflammatory and hepatoprotective therapy for chronic hepatitis B ( CHB). Methods During year 2014 - 2016,214 patients with mild to moderate CHB were selected. The patients were divided into three groups: A,B and C according to the therapeutic regimen, and they were given compound glycyrrhizin, tiopronin and polyene phosphatidylcholine to prevent inflammation and protect liver. MAUT model was constructed, the evaluation factors were determined and appropriate weight was given to each element parameter, the specific utility values for each factor were calculated, and by calculating the total utility value of final results quantitatively demonstrated the three regimens in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. Results The total effective rates of A,B,C three groups were 78. 38% ,69. 44% ,79. 41% ,respectively, the difference was statistically significant( χ2 = 5. 559,P < 0. 05). The incidence rates of adverse reaction of A,B,C three groups were 16. 22% ,8. 33% ,5. 88% ,respectively. As to direct cost, group B(1430. 45 yuan) was better than group C(1494. 04 yuan) and group A (1515. 92 yuan). The hospital days of A,B,C three groups were (11. 3 ± 4. 8) d,(10. 9 ± 10. 6) d,(12. 5 ± 6. 4) d,respectively. The results of MAUT comprehensive evaluation showed that the total score value in polyene phosphatidylcholine group was the highest, and was the optimal treatment in the study. Conclusion Application of MAUT in the study of pharmacoeco-nomics is comprehensive, intuitive and flexible.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To explore the effectiveness of Balint group on compassion fatigue among oncology nurses.@*Methods@#From January to December 2016, 35 oncology nurses from one general hospital were enrolled. 18 cases were allocated in the observation group and 17 cases in the control group by computer randomization. Nurses in the observation group were received a total of 8 times Balint Group activities, with 2 times a month and 1.5 hours each time, which is aiming to discuss difficult cases encountered in the clinic to help nurses have a deeper experience and a better understanding of the emotions and behaviors, fantasies and needs between nurse-patient interaction. Nurses in the control group without intervention. All the Participants were requested to complete the survey of the Professional Quality of Life (ProQOL) , the Jefferson Scale of Empathy-Health Professionals (JSE-HP) , and the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) at pre and post intervention.@*Results@#Before intervention, two group of nurses in age, working years, marriage, and education were not statistically significant (P>0.05). There was no difference in the scores of empathy, compassion satisfaction, secondary traumatic stress, and General health (P>0.05). After intervention, the scores of JSE-HP and its three dimensions of perspective taking, emotional care, and trans-positional consideration in the observation group had significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). The level of compassion satisfaction in the observation group was higher, and the general health status was lower (P<0.05). There was no statistically difference in the level of burnout and secondary traumatic stress between two groups (P>0.05) .@*Conclusion@#Balint group has a positive role in promoting nurses’empathetic skills, compassion satisfaction and mental health.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the relationship between subclinical cervical HPV infection and recurrence of condyloma acuminatum (CA) in patients. Methods Cervical swabs were collected from 52 patients with frequently recurrent CA, 55 patients with infrequently recurrent CA, and 65 normal human controls. The Cenechip method was performed to detect the presence and type of HPV in cervical swabs followed by a statistical analysis. Results HPV was found in 67.3% (35/52) of swabs from patients with frequently recurrent CA, 5% (19/55) from patients with infrequently recurrent CA, and 4.6% (3/65) in the controls. There was a statistical difference among the three groups in the detection rate of HPV. Conclusion The subclinical cervical HPV infection may contribute to the recurrence of CA.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the incidence of anxiety and depression and explore the effects of psycho- logical intervention on anxiety and depression in geriatric patients with chronic heart failure (CHF).Methods:A to- tal of 190 geriatric inpatients were recruited. They were assessed with the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and the self- rating depression scale (SDS) before the psychological intervention. All subjects were divided into two groups (101 in case group and 89 in control group) randomly. The case group received relaxation therapy and basic psychological care lasting four weeks, while the control group only received basic psychological care.Relaxation therapies, including re- laxation training and music therapy, were offered to patients in case group one hour per day for four weeks. Then the changes of SAS score,SDS score, and length of hospital stay of patients in two groups after psychological intervention were observed. The re-hospitalization rate due to CHF after discharge was assessed at 6-month follow-up.Results:The SAS score,SDS score, age, gender, educational level, economic status, caregiver status, cardiac function-graded, free medical service,self-care ability, and course of CHF were balanced between two groups before psychological inter- vention. The incidence of depression and anxiety of geriatric patients in our hospital were higher than that of the general population (45.8% vs.5%,52.6% vs.5-10%,respectively).After psychological intervention, the SAS score and SDS score were reduced in both case and control groups;the reduced degree in case group was higher than that in control group, and there was significant difference between the two groups (P
