Introdução: O controle postural é complexo exigindo manutenção de articulações e músculos em que as informações visuais, vestibulares e proprioceptivas são usadas para detectar as variações da posição do corpo e ambiente visando o equilíbrio. Método: Avaliamos a influência da visão e dominância no controle da postura de semi-ajoelhado em sete indivíduos, permanecendo por 30 segundos nesta postura, com os olhos abertos e posteriormente fechados. Introduction: The postural control is complex, requiring maintenance of joints and muscles in which visual information, vestibular and proprioceptive information is used to detect the position of the body and environment to equilibrium. Method: We evaluated the influence of vision and dominance in the control of half-kneeling posture in seventeen subjects during 30 seconds in this posture, with eyes open and subsequently closed. The possible variations of the kinematics were collected by the Motion Analysis System CQ®. Results: The hip joints, Left knee, Right ankle between the two conditions with significant difference (p <0.001) were influenced by vision. In the pelvis, right knee, and left ankle have no difference between eyes open and closed to the dominant side. The difference in the trunk occurred inthe non-dominant side. Conclusion: The postural control was influenced by the vision and behaved differently when the sides with the dominant non-dominant in the maintenance of posture.
