ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the application value of overall nursing intervention in PET/MR imaging in children with epilepsy. Methods:A total of 48 pediatric epilepsy patients who underwent PET/MR imaging in the Nuclear Medicine Department of the First Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital from July 2018 to October 2019 were enrolled. Among them, 24 patients with overall nursing intervention were used as the experimental group, and 24 patients were routine nursing intervention patients, who were served as the normal control group, and the examination time, Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) scores and patient satisfaction scores (filled in by the patient′s guardian) of the experimental group and the control group were collected and compared. Results:The inspection time of the experimental group was (15.1±0.5) min, significantly lower than (24.8±1.3) min of the control group ( tvalue was 32.940, P<0.01); the SAS score of the experimental group was (35.7±4.2) points, lower than(43.8±3.3) points of the control group ( tvalue was 7.357, P<0.01), and the patient satisfaction score was (92.8±5.5) points, higher than (69.8±11.1) points of the control group ( tvalue was 9.088, P<0.01 or 0.05). Conclusion:Overall nursing intervention in PET/MR imaging of pediatric patients with epilepsy can significantly cut down the examination time, reduce the anxiety of patients′ family members and improve the satisfaction of nursing care. It lays the foundation for clinicians to further accurately diagnose epilepsy foci and has important application value.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To assess the role of the arterial based complexity (ABC) scoring system in predicting clinically relevant outcomes of minimally invasive partial nephrectomy (MIPN). Methods: A retrospective review of 161 renal cell carcinoma patients who under-went MIPN at Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital from June 2016 to January 2018 was performed. The ABC score, including grades 1, 2, 3S, and 3H, were based on the patients'enhanced preoperative abdominal CT images. The reproducibility of the ABC scoring system was evaluated, and the relationship between the ABC score and patients'pathological features, surgery-related variables, postoperative complications, and renal function was analyzed. Results: Patients in grades 1, 2, 3S, and 3H in this study ac-counted for 20.5% (33/161), 60.2% (97/161), 11.8% (19/161), and 7.5% (12/161), respectively. The average Kappa value of the physi-cian's score was 0.523, and the average exact match percentage was 70.2%. The ABC score was significantly associated with operative time, warm ischemia time (WIT), estimated blood loss (EBL), and tumor size (P<0.001 for all) and was not associated with postopera-tive hospital stay, postoperative complications, preoperative estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), and eGFR at 3 and 6 months postoperatively (P>0.05 for both). Conclusions: The ABC score is a scoring system with good repeatability and has certain predictive significance for the complexity of MIPN. However, further research is needed for its clinical application.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the secondary inventory appropriate to improve the stomatological hospital in cost control for medical consumables, standardizing patient charging, dynamic materials management, zero inventory and enhancing hospital economic benefit. Methods An enterprise resource planning (ERP) secondary inventory information system was developed to solve the problems in medical materials management of the stomatological hospital, and then went through practical trials in three departments to determine its efficacy and deficiencies. Results The information system facilitated cost control, standardized patient charging, and the trials in three departments showed the rate for material consumption was decreased greatly. The deficiencies still existed in the traceability, mobile App,manual input and etc. Conclusion The ERP secondary inventory information system reduces the running cost of the department, increases the hospital abilities in cost control and management, and thus is worthy promoting practically.
